Hiya,
My name is Oliver Ross. I'm studying computer games technology in manchester, england ATM.
I first got into games when my dad got me a spectrum some time in the 80's with the mighty tetris.
Theres loads of games that i've fallen in love with over the years, but i'd have to say that tetris changed my life.
Anyway, i've made a few little games as ive been learning how, and i'd like to get some oppinions on them, and hopefully you'll enjoy playing them as much as i enjoyed making them

People of Earth, My name is Scott Roberts. Back in the late 20th century as a part of the Quake alpha IRC community I created the very first user-created skin for Quake, Henry Rollins (and Predator soon after). It was sort of like the race to be the first on the moon, but with more dithering. Despite the lack of parades, it got me started making games. Most recently I've been the art advisor for Devil's Tuning Fork http://devilstuningfork.com one of the Independent Games Festival Student Showcase winners. My current favorite game is Enviro-Bear 2010. I teach at DePaul University in Chicago http://GameDev.DePaul.edu , and I'm very interested in helping out the indie game community in Chicago. Scott

You've already won me over with the Predator Quake skin. And congratulations on Devil's Tuning Fork!

Man, I remember the old days of Quake modding fondly. I didn't manage to finish any complete mods, but just creating crazy stuff in the game was tons of fun. I think I was trying to make a flight sim with random maps or something.
Perhaps its me, but I don't think any shooters after Quake kept the modding magic quite as well.

Devil's Tuning Fork is simply awesome. The representation of navigation based in senses other than vision is something I always wanted to see in games, but never had the opportunity before.
It is great to have you here. Welcome.

Dear all, nice to meet you I'm from Germany and just trying to survive with games development, both board and online games. I worked as an IT-supporter before and studied mainly philosophie and economics. My programming knowledge is too bad for creating an online game by myself, so I always make a partnership with a programmer. Of course, my projects have a very low budget compared to professional games by big companies, but I think, we can compete with them with deeper content You can take a look at me at Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?v=info&id=1038068917Cheers, Marc

Hello everyone. I've lurked this site for a while and finally decided to join. I can code and create music, but I'm not so good at art. Some day I'll finish a game and share it with the community.

Hi, I am Stefan Fueger (fuegerstef) from Itzehoe, a small town in the North of Hamburg, Germany. For years I am developing Webgames or small advertising-games for companies (Some are: Milka, Tetra Pak, HP (and Compaq before they were bought),Lucky Strike). I also was lead develpoer for 2 Games for "Die WIlden Hühner" (The wild Chicks). A franchise for teen-girls. The third big project had been a point and click adventure for kids. I also released 2 freeware games a few years back, but erased them from my memory. Now I am planning to join the indie-scene and to once make money from the games. My first game is a puzzle game that can be found here: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=11845.0I hope to make contacts and share ideas, concepts and alike.

Hi, I'm Matt, online I go by richtaur. I'm a senior frontend engineer at Raptr, Inc. (we're a middleware game company, we track what you play and recommend games you'd like). I'm also an amateur game developer. So far I've only built silly little games, but I'm currently working on a puzzle game for Android and iPhone and it's nearing completion. Very exciting! I'm lucky to have a good friend who's also an amazing musician and composer (be sure to ping him if you're looking for music), and we rock out projects together. We could really use a good pixel artist for our projects tho, so please PM me if you're talented, passionate, and OK with working for fun/portfolio instead of cash (at least for now). Nice to meet you! PS. Also Raptr is hiring, we're looking for experienced backend developers. More info here.

Hello TIGForums. My name's Luke O'Connor, or 'hmm' on some forums here and there, but 'lukeoc' on this one... Have been developing games for many a year, since I began with a probably illegal copy of RPG maker 95 way back when. Have since used Darkbasic and Processing and C++ to work on a myriad of ultimately doomed titles. However, I have finished some games in Darkbasic, and also Processing, which can be found on my WEBSITE: http://lukeoc.co.uk/Am currently developing a simple little side scrolling game about a spartan warrior returning home from war. Kind of an experiment with storytelling in games, and also an experiment in gratuitous gore. Theres a video of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z3Hmdi25r4 and some screenies here http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=167678&b=8. Anyways, although I'm off to China soon (away from my beloved laptop), I hope to carry on game making and I'm sure I'll enjoy being a part of the TIGForums community!

Hello. I am Mario Donick, reading at TIGsource regularly and also in this forums. Regarding games, I'm also concerned with developing LambdaRogue: The Book of Stars, a roguelike RPG, which I started in 2006 and still update at least twice a year. What has started as a small programming learning experiment, is today a big and complex roguelike with some distinct features, an rather intuitive UI and, untypical for most roguelikes, a story.

Hello guys, I'm Colton. I program using Game Maker 7 Pro, and always program alone. I often sprite for my own games as well, but that's about it. I have no music talent whatsoever, so I usually have to rely on someone else for that. I'm currently working on a side-scrolling real time strategy.
So, hello, I hope to become a liked, active member of the community, etc.

Hi, My name is Jeff. I am a C++ programmer in Cedar Falls, Iowa by day, an indie game developer and synthesis/music dabbler by night. I've worked on several projects over the years, but the only two available to the public at the moment are an iPhone game I release recently, Super Newtronic: http://www.phantomefx.com/supernewtronicAnd a silly game I worked on for the Global Game Jam, Xenonaut: http://www.globalgamejam.org/2010/xenonautI am currently working on a project with a dude named Prolow that I believe has posted on this board a few times, and I have a couple other things in the pipe. Looks like there are some interesting threads going on in the technical section so I look forward to making a few posts there.

I'm officially reintroducing myself! I've been away for a REALLY long time, and I never even posted a lot then. Please hope that I try to be a little more social this time! I'm an aspiring indie game dev (but who isn't?) from Wisconsin. I've made a bunch of games with Game Maker, and I think they're pretty damn awesome. A bunch of other people seem to think so too. I've been hanging out at Game Jolt for a while now too. This is the most recent picture of me right now: As my screen name implies, I'm a really big fan of potatoes and eating them. I do have a website now (and my last visit to TIGForums was to find some webspace), and it has a few of my games on it. I'm told that the site doesn't work in IE6, unfortunately. I really hope I can get to know a bunch of you guys, and here's hoping for many more awesome games to come!
