Hi all. I'm a 26 year old lad from Finland. I have just started my career in the IT-business doing enterprise software. I don't have a lot of experience in making games, just a couple of very simple games done in XNA and PyGame. I'm hoping that one day I could transition to making games full-time. I joined TIGSource to stay updated on the indie scene, get motivated and see all the cool and creative stuff you guys are doing.

I've been a gamer pretty much all my life. I guess I owe it to my grandfather who worked with computers in the 80's. That meant I could have access to his "portable" computer. I did a little Googling and found the machine.

Those bring back some memories.

Some games I remember from those days are Sierra adventure games (LSL1, KQ1&3, Black Cauldron..), Prince of Persia, Alley Cat, Epyx Sport games... I do remember doing something with QuickBasic and getting it to print text and draw lines on the screen.

In the 90's I went the Sega way with Master System and Mega Drive. I have always had a console for gaming as well as a PC. Today I have a decent gaming computer, Xbox360, Wii and NDS to satisfy my inner gamer. I think i have a GameCube, original Xbox and Ps1 in the warehouse somewhere.

My favorite games are building and tycoon games, like SimCity, Transport Tycoon, Theme Park, Civilization etc. I'm hoping to do a small scale game along those lines one day.

Thanks for the great forum and all the awesome people and games here.

Toaster and computer, all in one. It's pretty ingenious.

Hello everyone on TIGSource Smiley
I am Ahmed Abdel Samea Hassan (aKa Amidos2006) I am Indie Game Developper From Egypt Smiley. I am a senior student at faculty of engineering Cairo University Computer Department Smiley

When I was young I always aiming to be a game designer and developper and make games like all games I used to play when I was young Diablo I and StarCraft I and other stuff.
I used to love the main stream games and still love them but sometimes I found some games have lack in creativity so I began to see Indie gaming world and the huge amount of creativity it have.

After playing indie games my love for main stream games decrease and my dream to be a designer became more stronger to be indie game designer and developper Smiley

I made some small games but never complete any of them till last year I started with GameMaker 7 (I started using it 7 years ago but never became proffessional) I used GameMaker although I know C++ and C# but GameMaker have fast prototyping so I can make games fast Smiley
So I am back again on scene and made some experimental games you can check them on my blog then I found that this is my last year at college so what I am gonna do about working I wish to be full time game developper but how can I get money to live so I decided before my year ended to try flash gaming if I succeeded and get sponsor and became known may be I became indie glash game developper Smiley

here is a picture of me at Great Dam at Aswan In Egypt Smiley

Welcome all guys Smiley I dlove to be better involved with u Smiley may be I will be busy this week but this temporarly due to my exams start next week and i didnt study anything yet Smiley wish me luck Smiley

Hey guys,

My name is Alex Galasso and I work for Crankshaft Games. We are an indie developer based out of Montreal. Our first release was Eternal Silence (www.eternal-silence.net) which was a free mod on the Source engine.

Our most recent title is cooperative platformer called Party of Sin which will be released on XBLG or XBLA (not sure yet) and on the PC. Players will get to inhabit one of the 7 Deadly Sins and fight their way from heaven to hell. For more information, check out www.partyofsin.com.

I look forward to checking out the new indie titles for 2010! They look awesome so far.

Hello everyone my name is Eric and I play games and half-assedly make some games. I hope someday to make more games as best as half my ass can do.

Been lurking this site for years now, and generally quite enjoyed the wide realm of interesting creations that have been showcased.

I got to this thread after reading through the feedback forum thread guidelines after having already posted something there... but sloppiness aside, hello!
