I'm a game designer who uses GameMaker to create games. I like experimenting with unique visual styles as well as gameplay gimmicks(which don't come to me as often as I'd like). I've used GameMaker for 4 years or something, and I like to think I can make good stuff with it now.
That is all.

Heya everybody! I am a 28 year old Dutch game programmer, recently started making 3DS games for a living. I enjoy both creating and playing games (so what else is new around here ) and particular like to participate in speed programming events like Ludum Dare. Currently, I am working on a small puzzle game based on my last Ludum Dare entry. It is still very much in its infancy, but I consider starting a development log soon.

Hello Tig community! I thought I already had an account a long time ago but I guess not. I first was introduced to TIG during the 2010 Gamma4 1 Button game challenge. We were going to enter but couldn't finish our game in time. The game was called 1 Trick Star and I hope we have time to finish it one day. I graduated from one of those game design colleges with a Bachelors. I've done a bit of work ranging from game designer, level designer, 2D/concept artist, 3D artist, and texture artist with mostly student projects. I had an internship with a small game company called Higher Edge Software. I've worked with mostly 3d engines(Quake 4, UT3, UDK) and flash. The main thing I gained from working on so many projects is how vital teamwork and communication is. Right now I'm the Co-founder, Designer, 2D/3D artist, and a bit of marketing for Blue Void Studios. My least favorite thing to do is marketing and my favorite is texturing unwraps... I dunno why so many people hate it. I think it's fun, like figuring out a puzzle. Right now we are working on a game called Blink http://blink.bluevoidstudios.com/ It's a first person puzzle platformer game we originally made for the Global Game Jam in 2011 when we lived in AZ. We used Unity back then. But after a few months of working on our dream game we realized we should release a game that we know the gameplay worked and people liked. We already had the prototype so we just decided to bring it into a engine we liked and knew we could make an engaging world. I never owned a game system until the Playstation came out, and even then it was spilt 50/50 with my bro. My parents couldn't afford to buy their kids such expensive toys until much later. But it was okay because our neighbors owned EVERY game system, it was crazy. The first game I played and really had an obsession with was Super Mario RPG. After that the big influence was Metal Gear Solid 2. I just really loved the gameplay. I mostly wanted to become a game developer because I want to bring people that bliss from playing a really engaging game.

'Ello. Well, I've been making games for about 3 years now. I started with two very generic RPGs which went terribly and then followed up with (what was) a story driven RPG that was kind of generic but was very popular on an old forum which I don't wish to discuss . At the moment I'm still working on that and also a survival-dungeoncrawler-sandboxy game. What got me into game development and programming really is my obsession with problem solving, especially in a game environment, be it balancing parts of the game or even working my way around a limitation. Though I can't quite remember which, the first game I played (I think) was an early Sonic game.

Hey, guys. My name is Ryan Huggins, though I tend to go around as the internet alias, Ninjuit. I was introduced to game design over 4 or 5 years ago, when I was around 13 years old. I've been attempting to create a game ever since, but it wasn't until the beginning of this year that I started a game I was absolutely serious about finishing. I'm here to learn about game design and attempt to complete a game, regardless of whether or not it's amazing or not. I hope to learn something in the process and maybe even come up with some ideas for new games! My game's blog is somewhere in my signature. You can see screenshots and such there.

Hello TIGForums,
My name is Greg and I'm a Level Designer by trade.
I've decided to finally sign up here so I can talk more about aspects of design in games that fascinate me. I'd love to share contrasting and opposing opinions with some of you on design and theory.
But for now, Hello!
Greg

Greetings, I am the one who walks with the name of The Skyscraper, as in; someone who tries to aim too high without being sure if he's even on the ground, if that makes sense. If it doesn't please, think about it twice; I am not really good at English, but hope y'all understand!
I love tracker music and happen to be tracker musician, too; experienced in chiptunes, I also try to get myself in instrumental music! If you're looking for composer, you can PM me, but I don't promise anything! I also love writing stories and I am working on big game project, so keep your eyes open, I am here! Well, I'd have more to tell, but let's keep this short for now. I am The Skyscraper, and I hope we'll have nice time together! (And if you happen to play Soldat, you might see me in there, too! Just ask, if interested!)

Hi I'm Ash, from Geekonaleash, we recently started up to help indie developers with marketing needs of their games, without costing them their life savings.
Before that I was an Editor for an online games site MMOFury, a community manager for a multi-player game called Dungeon Bandits, published by PlayEnvy and developed by Cyanide Studios, before that I was an Event Master for Runes of Magic, and in between those I have helped out and worked along side a number of indie developers to give me more insight to the small team development process and of course to help them out where I can.
It's nice to meet all of you!
-Ash

Hi,
I have been reading the forums for a while and thought it was about time I introduced myself. I am a software engineer and have always had an interest in games / games development. I started coding in the 80s on a BBC Micro, it's nice to have a bit more horsepower these days. I have a keen interest in 3D game engine architecture and since 2006 I have spent time developing my skills in this area.
Cheers, Richard.
