Hi, I'm Nicole. I'm worked in games for most of the last decade, here in Australia. I started out animating surfers on Sunny Garcia Surfing.
I am so old that I didn't actually own a video game until I was in my late teens. Sonic and Street Fighter were like religious experiences for me, and after Final Fantasy 7 I was a goner.
My hubby and I recently formed our own company and went Indie. Its something we've always wanted to do but were too scared. With good reason, OMG the stress of this lifestyle is killing me! But I love it soooo much, its so great to make something that's all yours, something that you're proud of.

Hllo. My name is Francis. I'm from Spain, sorry for my poor english. I'm a programmer, although at my actual work I'm dng every kind of things. I love everything relationed with art, specially drawing and painting.
I had a ZX Spectrum at the beginnings, and made some rude pixel art. Nowadays I'm working in a 2D platformer, with Game Maker. I'll send my work so you can help me improve.
I love Arne style and have discovered recently Locomalito who is from my country. Is a great inspiration.

I'm Mikey and a hobbyist game dev in San Francisco. I've made a few games in 48h jams/comps, not finished an awful lot of other games, and finally started putting my work together and figuring out how to do that last 10% that takes 90% of the time - polish, menus, balance, etc. My day job is coding, so that helps.
I've been playing games forever, though my formative experiences were probably Worms 2, Warcraft II, Wing Commander II, and Diablo. I had a really slow computer and no qualms about pirating games when I was a teenager, so I played a lot of games I missed out on at the time - a bunch of SNES RPGs, X-Com, MOO2, System Shock, etc.

Hello, I'm Daniel. I live in Melbourne, Australia, and have only recently started making games. Been playing them and programming for many years now though. I'm primarily a Linux developer, which might be a bit unusual for a game dev.

Obligatory, eh? OK - Hello, I'm Dave and I've been reading TIGSource for a while, but apparently never got around to making an account (perhaps because I don't think I have much of interest to say). So, in the spirit of better-late-then-never, here goes ... I've been making games since the bedroom coder days - my first games were published on the BBC Micro/Acorn Electron. I graduated to an Atari ST with the proceeds, and then moved onto the Amiga (well, a succession of Amigas). My published Amiga games are all free to download on my (minimal) website www.confused-pelican.com. They feature questionable graphics & audio, since I was doing it all myself (no refunds!). Amiga Games When I'd finished studying, I got a job programming in the industry ... and I've been doing that ever since. The nearest thing I have to a claim to fame is working on Dune 2000 for Westwood Studios (while I was working at Intelligent Games in 1998). Dune 2000 PC I've been playing games since my first computer (Acorn Electron), and used to visit arcades whenever I could, to marvel at the games. I'm still playing games when I have the time, still attracted to old arcade games (and things of their ilk) like a stupid moth to a flame. More recently I've developed a Fallout 3 problem (never did play the 1 or 2), which then lured me into the similarly time-consuming worlds of Oblivion & New Vegas - Skyrim is still sitting untouched waiting for me to finish my current work contract (less than 2 weeks to go!). I've continued to dabble in DIY games while working - my most recent effort got picked up by Sony and became Gravity Crash for the PS3. (Gravity Crash PS3 - my games just keep getting bigger and bigger) I'm currently working on a couple of games, one with Dugan Jackson (almost finished!) & one with Dugan and Rudolf (Eufloria) Kremers. WIP game - might be called "Knighty Knight" Some of my all time favourite games - Gauntlet, Bubble Bobble ... Fallout 3. I really should get into some sort of writing about what I'm doing, this is the probably very place to do that.

Should have done this a long time ago... keep forgetting to introduce myself, sorry about that guys My name is Eddie, game programmer and The Guildhall alumni. I used to work in game studios in the US, until lay-offs got to me twice in three years. I had enough of moving around in the US, so I left the US, and for the past two years, I've been working for a small independent game studio in Bangkok called Novaleaf Software. The indie game scene have gotten more and more of my attention recently, thanks to several modern game engine that made making games so easy, and the number of awesome indie games have exploded. So, I want to get more involved with the community and hopefully, with you guys help, my next game will be the next big indie hit

This is some of my past work: http://www.mobygames.com/developer/sheet/view/developerId,116267/Currently I run a small indie company working on iOS games. This is what I'm up to now: http://oefun.comSome of my favorite games include Zelda (SNES), Gargoyles Quest (GB), Ghosts & Goblins, Bubble Bobble Series, Metal Slug and Viewpoint. Cheers.

Im an aspiring computer scientist/software engineer who consistently bites off more than he can chew in regards to art.
I almost always lone-wolf my games, and usually don't finish them. I'm sure im not alone there.
My inspiration in games comes from many sources, but recently it's been games like Braid, Blueberry Garden, and Minecraft.
I try to be aesthetically pleasing in both my life and game design. I like programming quirky features. Games by me tend to have strange names. I like straying from the beaten path.

I've been programming games since 1985... I've worked on every system from 8bit computers to high end consoles. And for the past few years I've been independent, making games for the mobile market.
As well as programming I can do very simple pixel artwork.
The last game I had published was the conversion of Mutant Storm to the iPad, before that was the conversion of Space Tripper to iOS. I used to be part of a company called True Axis and helped program a game called Jet Car Stunts.
Before all that I was just a cog working for companies. Since going independent I've started having fun again making games and it sort of reminds me of the old days.
Hopefully I will meet some interesting people on these forums!

Hey guys, I'm Matt Kap, and I've been making games for about 10 years now, unfortunately never finishing a single one in all that time . Though, I'm currently working on a game called Castle In The Darkness, and it's the furthest along I've ever been on a big project. It's a retro exploration platformer, and you can follow the progress at my twitter page (twitter.com/MattKap1), or on the game's official website (castleinthedarkness.mattkap.net).

Hello! My name is Joseph Sweeney. I have always enjoyed games, starting with all the educational software my parents bought for me and my brothers as kids. The first major game I was really into and sort of obsessed over was Roller Coaster Tycoon, which my godparents got me for my 7th birthday. But my parents weren't all too fond of computer games (apart from educational stuff) and they didn't let me install it! I obsessed over the manual anyway and when it became too much to bear I installed it. Although I got in trouble it was all worth it. So I have had to deal with parents who discourage games for about ten years. Thankfully they are wonderful in all other respects. But until I got my computer last year, I had to play underground. My programming skills didn't see much light either... My first introduction to programming was when I was about 11, I was taking a computer class for 4H and the instructor had us mess around with QBASIC. I had no idea what a lot of stuff meant but I picked it up much faster then most of the kids. I started learning C++ when I was about 14, and I sometimes code games during school on my calculator using Axe Parser. Most recently I have made several small, simple Java apps: I ported a mini-game called "Pegs" from the TI-83+ app PuzzPack and I wrote a humble little maze generator too. I am going into my senior year of high school, so I have a lot ahead of me and I am really excited for what I might make! Most of my favorite games are indie, I think just because I like the quality and heart put into them. A short list of some of my favorites: Roller Coaster Tycoon Spelunky VVVVVV ...and, although I haven't played it, I think FEZ [ ] has inspired me to create my own games more than any other game I've played. The atmosphere really embodies what I love about games. I am completely self-taught when it comes to everything games, so I am eager to learn all I can from the community here!
