Hi! I guess I should have posted here before posting a devlog... well anyway, my name is Michael Lasch, I'm from Lacey, WA, and I make games in my spare time when I'm not working retail or taking care of my house and three cats with my fiancee Julianne. I'm 25 years old and have my AA from South Puget Sound Community College, and work at Lowe's Home Improvement. I'm good with my hands, love assembling things both physically and virtually, and am the resident computer geek at work. I love platformers, puzzle games (even when I don't feel smart enough to finish them), and just about anything by Nintendo or Valve. My favorite games include the Metroid series, Fez, the Knytt series, Portal 2, and the Half Life series. My favorite indie developers include droqen, Nifflas, Terry Cavanagh, Increpare, and Phil Fish . I own (in order of use, least to most often) a dusty and sad Xbox 360, a Mac Mini, a DSi, an iPod, a PS3, a Wii U, an Ouya, various Android devices, and of course a PC. Also, in storage, I have an NES, SNES, GameBoy, GameCube, and Wii. I've made a bunch of games, primarily with Multimedia Fusion 2 (I visit and post on the Clickteam forums fairly frequently as Bipolar_Games), but haven't released much of anything until just this year. I'm currently developing for PC, Android, Ouya, and iOS, and have one publicly released game, and half a dozen in-progress games. You can find my games and blog here: http://j.mp/BipolarDesignMy first released game, Neon Snap, can be found here for PC (with links to Android, and iOS versions): http://j.mp/NeonSnapThanks for listening! I look forward to getting to know all of you

Hello everyone, I'm Jukka a 26 years old something-of-a-artist from Finland. I've studied graphic design but after graduating I couldn't really see myself working in any Ad agency (and I wasn't all that good at it to be honest). My friends were studying game programming, planning on founding a company after they graduate and I had occasionally made some illustration stuff for them. Everything art related in games has always interested me also so I jumped on when they needed another artist to work on their first bigger game, Interplanetary. I'm doing mostly concept/ illustration sort of stuff, some texturing and marketing material.
So now I'm pretty much taking the crash course into games industry and trying to utilise every skill I have and learn what I need to.

Hi everyone! I'm Marina, I'm from Valencia (Spain), and I'm a graphic designer and pixel artist. I'm one of the artist and coordinator at Deconstructeam. We started making mini games for game jams, learning and experimenting with different ideas and concepts. Right now we're making our first "big" game, Gods Will Be Watching, and I would love to keep making games and live from this!! I think my favourite games are Shenmue and Illusion of Time, I have very good memories playing them when I was younger, but I also love adventure games like Monkey Island, The Day of the Tentacle, Gemini Rue, Resonance, and indie games like Fez, Journey, Binding of Isaac, Hotline Miami, Spelunky... I'm looking forward to improve my pixel art, my english, and meet other cool people Sorry for my language mistakes and nice to meet you!

Hello everyone! I'm Jason Whisler, lead developer for Nuclear Compost Game Studio. I've been making PC games for fun for many years now. Our website http://www.nuclearcompost.com has a few free demo games if you are looking for something fun to play! I really love independent and homebrew kinds of games that people make just out of their personal passion. I enjoy helping people learn how to make games, and am always trying to learn how to improve my own craft as well. Look forward to getting to know some of you better!

Hello hello.
I'm an indie game developer (programming & some graphics design) by night and a web developer by day.
Haven't released any games yet but currently working on a couple that I hope will see the sunlight one day. Been playing all kinds of games throughout my life but now settling mostly on Role Playing Games (PC).
Also, marineta, great artwork!

What's up everyone? I hope I did this in the right place Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Vinny "Gwee" and I've been composing and producing my own experimental electronic/trance dance music for some time now. While that was fun to explore, I'm ready to go back to my roots where my passion for music first began, video game music. I could never give credit to all the great games, the music in them and the composers of said music but it all played an important role in my life. Now I want to give back to the community of gamers and start composing, writing, producing, and mixing music for games. I also enjoy doing some of my own sound design using synthesizers, my guitar and mic, or by other means Growing up it always seemed like some farfetched dream. I would be getting a career in network administration or construction, and I almost did. After putting so much time into the craft and watching some youtube videos of some of the video game composers of today, hearing what they were saying about their starts and what they do now, I started to feel like it really was possible for me to make a living off doing something I love. I already can't remember their names unfortunately. I remember a Josh Welchel being one of them, I think he was also the uploader and mentioned a few forums in his videos, this being one of them. But now you know some of my story, and I don't want to give you all any more text than that to go through already While being new here, it doesn't mean I'd like to continue lurking. I hope to grow in the community and more importantly as a composer. With all that being said, please check out my soundcloud for my electronic music and feel free to get to know me right through this thread or other means of contact. As far as starting out in this field, is there any other advice, tips, guidance, or opportunities this established community can help me with? Thanks a lot everyone, hoping to meet some kind souls here

Hey there everyone. As per rules, here's my intro post.
Been a long time lurker and looking to get a little more involved with the community. I work as a developer but my work is not related to game programming. I do have a great passion for games however. I like to work on game designs using pen and paper. I have filled out a few pads with game mechanics and rough design documents over the years.
Some of my inspirations include Another World, Flashback, Thief, space games in the vein of Freelancer, Deus Ex, games featuring procedural generation, lots of scifi stuff inspires me, especially cyberpunk. Big fan of William Gibson, Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash.
I could go on but it'd be too tl;dr, so that's it for now.

Hi there! I'm a developer in a husband-and-wife studio. We both worked in the game industry for some years, but I didn't start my "indie game lessons" until 2010, when I was touched by these masterpieces: We decided to go full-time indie two months ago. Now a game named "River of Time" is under development and very soon the prototype will be released. Can't wait to see your feedback

Hello all! My name is Alex and I'm a video game programmer. The earliest game I could remember playing was Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast. I was 3 years old, and I could remember my cousin hooking up his Dreamcast. While he was playing I had picked up the controller and started playing. From that point on I loved video games and Sonic. I owned and Nintendo 64, Playstation 2, and a Dreamcast. When I was 9, I tried making a platformer in Game Maker. It sucked . When I turned 11 I became a hard-core gamer and got mad at people who played Call of Duty due to its mediocrity. So I owned an Wii, and Xbox 360. When it red ringed that's when I played PC. My favorite PC game to date is Counter Strike: Source . The game that really sparked my interest in indie games was Cave Story. Because of that game I've been studying Japanese for 1 year, and programming in C#. I really do hope to make some progress on my game development. As it sucks, maybe because I'm a beginner, or I just suck. It's probably the latter. .
