Hi.  I'm videogamerx2, I posted on Gaming World forums for a long time and have been working on computer games for a while now.  I use game maker to code my games, although I've used text rpg makers, rpgmaker, mugen, and other programs and languages in the past.  I like to play rpgs, adventure games, racing games, and first person shooters.  I'm also a drummer in case someone needs a drum set track.  This seems like a great community.  I'm 23. Best,

VideogamerX2.

Hello everyone! Long time lingerer, first time poster. Finally made an account to get involved in some competitions. Smiley

I follow the indie community really closely, and have done for a few years now. I love the atmosphere generated by you guys.

I'll get coding now, just wanted to introduce myself!

Guys and gals!

Hello! I was listening to a podcast with the dude that made Aquaria and they mentioned this site so I thought I'd check it out. Browsed through it a bit and I imagine I'll be hanging around for a while  Grin

A little bit about myself. I'm from Australia and have been a game designer for about five and a half years. I didn't really play or give much attention to indie games but I recently bought an indie pack off steam and am now quite intrigued with the whole business model.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself!

Hi there,

My name is Marius Michel and I am one of those long time lurkers, who just love to read about the indie scene and well, tigsource is a very nice place to hang and read about great games from grwat guys and gals.

This post is written in the dark of the german night on my notebook, while starring into the cloudy sky, trying to get some inspiration, as I want to join the "A Game By Its Cover" competition.

To give you guys some infos about me...I am 30 years old since a couple of weeks ago and I am working as a programmer for a small company, producing laser diagnostic machines. About this time last year I was still working for a german videogames company, making such great "games" as "What's Cooking with Jamie Oliver for DS" or "Virtual Villages DS". As the economy wasnīt the best then (and thanks to a fucked up deal with Ubisoft), they had to let me go.

I am playing games for at least 20 years now and I do this on every normal machine you can think of and I am quite proud of my collection, as I could never sell a game anymore...my preeeeeeecious...

Some of my favourite games are things like Ultima 6/7, Final Fantasy 6, Monkey Island, Seiklus, Ico, Diablo 2m System Shock 1/2 etc. (I like RPGs and Adventures most).

I am always working on something game related, but very rarely had the strength to go through with a private game project, so I hope joining a competition pushes me a bit, so I finally finish something and have someone other then my wife, how shitty it is Smiley

And when I think about it...the only thing I ever released to the internet before was the demo for "Kings Quark 7 Part 2, Celine Dion is a stupid bitch" in Qbasic and I donīt think you can find this anymore (hopefully).

So...see you in a competition...bye...

Hello there.

I apologize in advance if I sound bad or plain retarded, it is 2:28 here, after all. I have been lurking in this forum for a while and registered only now to join the cover-based game competition with a pair of my friends. Though knowing us, we're too lazy for it, but we'll wait and see.

See you later.

Hello ! My name is Kyle, I'm from Glasgow. I signed up to enter the A Game by its Cover competition but I'm a big fan of indie games and gaming in general. I prefer music but still.

Favourite bands are Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mastodon, Joy Division, etc.

Figured I've been creeping on the forums for long enough. Couldn't get the shy dork that I am to introduce myself.

I've been programming games professionally for the past 7 years. At first for Microids where I worked on great hits like Memorick The Apprentice Knight on the original xbox... (i think it sold 5k copies) Moved on to Ubisoft where I worked on Rainbow Six, Shaun White Snowboarding and many other projects but probably the project I am most proud of would have to be TMNT for the GBA. I've always been a huge fan of beat 'em ups. Street's of Rage, TMNTs, Simpsons, Double Dragon, River City Ransom. So needless to say, when I had the chance to work on a TMNT game, I was pretty excited. I recently switched to Eidos where I'm working on Deus Ex 3.

In my spare time I work full time on independent projects. Toyed around with the iphone. And right now I'm concentrating on XNA. Would love to make my dream beat em up game rather then work on "AAA" games. Maybe someday.

I'll give the latest contest a shot. So keep an eye out for that.

Yo. My name is Richard Terrell, but I go by KirbyKid when it comes to my gaming ID.

http://critical-gaming.squarespace.com/blog/

I've been writing to my blog for 2 1/2 years. You won't find a more comprehensive breakdown of the critical language needed to discuss games and all their complexities anywhere on the net.

I design games and love giving feedback to other indie developers.

Also if you're serious about conversing or debating games, let me know.

Hi all! My name's Paul, and I'm just starting to get into indie game design/development. I released my first game a couple of months ago, and am working on a couple of new projects at the moment. Also, I'm starting to blog on some of my ideas about games at http://www.pdyxs.org, where I've started doing some in-depth critiques of games as well as some more general breaking down of game mechanics in terms of their effects on both gameplay and narrative.

In my on-time, I'm a part-time IT researcher and part-time Arts student at the University of Sydney.
