Hey there folks! My name's Franklin, if you couldn't tell from my username conveniently located to the left of this post!
I am making my first game right now in game maker, I have no experience and it will most likely fail!
Whoops, Got a bit too self-loathing, but whatever, the point is I hope to become part of an awesome community and make (somewhat) enjoyable games for you guys!

Hello, you crazy indie cats. In meatspace, my name is Marty Rabens. Around the net I can usually be found as Martoon, unless that's taken, in which case it will be some tortured variant like Martoonster, Mart00n, or, if I'm really reaching, Mar2n. I look something like this on the rare occasion that I'm actually out with other people: I got my start with a Commodore VIC-20, but I think my first true love was the Commodore 64. Yes, I'm an old fart (43). Damn kids! Get off my lawn! I'm a coder in my day job. I've worked for a studio making educational children's games, and for another dev studio making casual shovelware (mostly the shrink-wrapped jewel case stuff you see in Walmart, like mahjongg, slots, etc.). I currently work for a state-funded studio that makes job skills training games, and the occasional VR training sim. I've always been interested in indie development, and I've been hacking together various prototypes since my VIC-20. Somehow, I've never managed to really complete a game, though. Recently, I've been trying to change that, and get more serious about my personal projects. My biggest blocker is limited time and energy. Having a day job will do that. I've finally gotten around to starting a dev blog, which you can find at http://www.levitygames.com. I figured having a public window into what I'm working on would push me into getting more done. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's work, and should be posting some of my own before too long. (Oh, crap. Now I've made a quasi-commitment.)

Jello, call me Slow.
Most people don't. They think they might insult me but I don't mind :I. This isn't my "home forum" so I probably won't post as much. I know a bit of HTML. I am, well, I would call myself an excellent coder in gml. Looking to learn another coding language that doesn't have as much limitations. I sprite pretty well. I suck at writing stories so if you do see any one of my unfinished projects chances are the story sucks. That's about it.
Again, Jello.

Hi there, I'm Michael Molinari, otherwise known as Bean. I'm currently an artist at Namco Bandai Games, though I've been making indie games for about 10 years. I'm embarrassed about most of them, aside from the recent ones I've made after graduating from art school. The nickname came from when I kind of looked like the popular British character in 5th grade, the name sticking ever since. Now I've got family, friends, coworkers, and strangers calling me Bean, to the point where people are confused when they hear my real name. My recent indie games include " ...But That Was [Yesterday]", which was awarded by IndieGames.com as the #5 Experimental Game of 2010, and by JayIsGames.com as the Best of 2010 for "Interactive Art or Experimental". I also took part in the 2011 Global Game Jam a couple weeks ago, creating a game called " The End of Us", which I made with my friend Chelsea Howe. This is where I post about my indie games and other things I do: [ link] And this is a Twitter account where I actually update people on things: [ link] Finally, this is me looking at my 24th birthday cake: -Bean

Hey there! My name's Michael, I live in Germany, where I'm currently studying physics. I can code in C++ and some other languages and am somewhat of a wannabe-musician ( I play guitar and bass and some piano but not really because I don't have one and as such can't practice ) My previous game development experience mostly consists of some semi-successful Half-Life 2 modding. I joined the forums because I want to eventually take part in some of the fabulous competitions that are held here. That is all.

Hello, My name is Johnny. I am 17, and I have always wanted to know how games were created. So when I found this website, and tried to make a side scroller, it was very fun, but difficult. I am still a "noob" and just want to learn more about this profession.

Hi everyone I'm Yuan-Hao Chiang, aka. Hao, developer and programmer of our small indie games studio Yuan Works Into video-games (mostly puzzle, RPG's, StarCraft I, metroidvania platformers), yoga, weightlifting, languages, and some other bizarre stuff I've been a lurker here for years, but recently, our debut title, Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles, was released for PC and got on the TIGSource frontpage (thanks Derek!) so I decided it was finally time to register That's our game when we were nominated for the IGF Mobile 2008! Pleasure to be here!

Hello TIGsters. ^_^ I'm Stephen, but pretty much everyone calls me by my internet nickname, Strife. I've lived in upstate New York for most of my life, but I moved to Europe about two years ago to live with my wife in her home country of Denmark. We currently have a four-month-old baby girl. As a gamer, I've played most of the classics since the days of the NES: Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Mega Man, Doom, SimCity, Final Fantasy, you name it. As of the current console generation, though, I've lost touch with console gaming, and I'm more of a PC gamer. My favorite genres are action, adventure, and platforming - especially when the three of them are combined. :3 As a game developer, I've been using Clickteam's tools for over a decade. I started with Klik & Play and moved up to The Games Factory and Multimedia Fusion. I currently use Multimedia Fusion 2 for my creative endeavors. I love making platform games, and my most recent platformer, Christmas Time Heroes, won the 2010 Daily Click Christmas Competition sponsored by Clickteam. Definitely an incredible surprise for me, and I learned a lot during the month-long crunch to submit my entry on time. xD I've always been passionate about game design, and I love giving and receiving feedback, so I hope to learn a lot during my time here. ^_^ You guys look like you know what you're doing.

G'day! I'm Julian Smart, better known as "Jibb", and I didn't read the posting guidelines in the feedback forum, so neglected to introduce myself before posting KarBOOM. I'm Australian, but moved with my family to Canada a bit more than a year ago. I'm a university student, but uni is lame. I want to drop out and make games full time, but I've only got one game out there and it's not making any money yet I'm 21, and have been programming since I was 13. I've done a little freelance game programming (usually shaders) over the last few years, but never finished a game of my own. KarBOOM is something simple I started at the end of September last year in an attempt to have something fun and simple out as fast as possible. The first public version was released a month later near the end of October, and I've released a bunch of updates since then -- I have 9 different versions floating around the internet, apparently, and hope to have another update out this week. Jibb
