Servusla, I've just read about this intoduction thingie, so here goes: The name's Felix and I'm a 25 year old kraut. Started playing in the NES times and mostly played Nintendo consoles and PC games. Sometimes I scribble stuff and decided to try pixeling some days ago. Currently trying to get together a game 'bout hillbillies.

Hi, I'm byth((e)mark) (I use some variation of the name on different sites). I'm going into my freshman year of college, and my major might be computer science, but I'm not really sure. The first game I played was Super Mario Bros on my grandpa's NES. My uncle got me into gaming more by giving me his old NES, and letting me play on his SNES (of which I am now the proud owner) whenever I was over. I started with Megaman 2 and Final Fantasy, and when we upgraded to a PS1, my childhood became FFVII and Armored Core. My first experience designing a game was with RPG Maker 2 on the PS1. I never finished it, or really got beyond making the first major plot event. More recently I've released Pixel Jellyfish Massacre ( http://www.kongregate.com/games/bythemark/pixel-jellyfish-massacre) and an unfinished custom campaign for Plazma Burst 2 (Crash Landing). Anyway, I'm signing up here because I'm about to have what I think is a decent game under my belt, a re-done PJM.

Hi, I'm baneofloki. I'm a web designer by day and game developer by night. I've been playing games since the Atari 2600 days. I also have some professional experience working on games. I worked on a small Playstation 1 game back in the late 90s as an animator. And I've been dabbling in making small games on my own for years. I've been a lurker on these forums for awhile, but I didn't want to post anything until I finished a game. Which I just did. It's for Android, so if you have an Android phone you can check it out here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.deathsled.game

Hey,
I'm Zebadee, currently a university student studying computer science. My favourite types of games are single player RPGs (usually with a good story!), I have recently began to develop games for the android platform.

Hi, my real name isn't Jimmy, it's actually Nick. I'm 17 but I tried to start making games when I was around 12 and called myself jimmynewguy. It sounded harmless and everyone would know I was a noob and hopefully wouldn't get mad. Needless to say nothing spectacular came from 12 year old me. (Nothing much has came from 17 year old me either!) The first game I can remember playing was Banjo Kazooie for the N64, beat it and Banjo Tooie 100% through and still love to play both. Too bad they ruined the name by making the atrocious Xbox 360 version I don't really have a favorite type of genre to play, I really love all types of games. 2d has always spoke to me more than 3d, though.

Just realised I never actually got around to this. So my name is Adrian, I'm from Wollongong, Australia. I've been into games since I got my Sega Master System when I was a young boy. I was hooked, my neighbour and I would draw Mortal Kombat characters fighting it out, lot's of fatalities, blood and violent stuff that parents these days would probably freak out over. Our parents didn't seem phased by it and we were just having fun!
Next I got a Playstation, this is when I discovered the Final Fantasy series. My mind was blown and I started to think about working on games. I spent a lot of time doodling my ideas for game characters, I gave them names and abilities, weapons etc. I played a lot of games in high school and decided I was going to study computer science so I could get into the industry.
It wasn't until after completing my degree that I discovered indie games, I was try to make little demos using OpenGL to apply for local industry jobs, they told me that they wanted to see better demos (they were really bad demos). Then at some point I heard about Freeplay, I think it was through tsumea.com so I went and saw talks by a bunch of indie developers and At this point I realised I could make games almost completely by myself and I found my way to tigsource. I work full time but I am trying to complete a couple of small games when I can.
I am far more fond of small fun interesting games from the indie community these days. I just don't have the time for big drawn out RPGs anymore.

I had written up a longer introduction, but I decided I'll just try to summarize instead.... young C64 gamer turned basic programmer, learned C, then C++, a dozen other little thing including some flash 4 and graphics (back in the day when it was new), then college, more programming, theory, etc, CS degree and internship leads to full time regular old 9-5 software engineer... now over 5 years later... wtf? Once you defeat the big professors and move on from college your supposed to win, aren't you? Aren't you? Where's your exciting job and ticket to glory? What the hell is this? Its not supposed to end this way! (if you didn't get the reference go play the first doom game again and you'll get it). I realize I got into this stuff for games, but instead I'm writing queries for sales reports. I've tried in the past with others only to see it all fall apart. But I've learned a lot since then. This time I won't depend on others. If I fail I fail. I'm currently working on an android game I'm calling CyberTechnic, it's a work in progress, and more importantly a learning experience. All of the music/sound/graphics/programming are my own, no free/public domain/misc content. I'm not quite ready for feedback or an announcement yet. But if anyone is curious I have a few items posted on my (poorly and somewhat recently setup site that probably needs some love) www.firehawksoftware.comWell here goes nothing click-post

Good day! I'm Aaron Garcha, I'm 20, I live in the UK and I make stuff. I mainly work within level design, particularly within Source, but I've started to move onto other more...proper engines like UE and Unity. I've made a fair few maps for different Source games and one of my TF2 maps was officialliased in TF2, which was nice! Right now I'm working on my own little puzzle game in Unity, where I've been learning a lot about C# and OOP. If you want, you can view my portfolio of loveliness here and find my on Twitter @AaronGarcha.

Hello, my name is Dave. I'm a programmer working in the games industry in Dundee, Scotland. On the side I write music for my friend Jon's games ( http://www.joncorp.org/) and help run the Dundee Game Jam ( www.dundeegamejam.org). I've mostly been developing for iOS this year but I've also been doing some Unity, Flash Punk and XNA. My (infrequently updated) blog is at http://davemor.wordpress.com and my Twitter feed is @davemor

Hello everyone, my name is ALSO Dave, and I am only recently active again (although I wasn't really active to begin with) after a hiatus of several years. I got the itch again recently (not anything CONTAGIOUS, mind you ), picked up a copy of Games Factory 2, and started work on a project I fully intend to finish. Plus I've been lurking for a few days, and see some projects that look mighty interesting!
