I remember being quite surprised when THQ announced they were going under, but there you have it. And it's a shame, too, since nearly all the works in progress they sold off have turned out to be big sellers.

That's pretty harsh.  Market makes a sharp turn, and you're locked onto a course that you can't even change.  Gotta be painful watching that happen.

That is some bitter as fuck in-fighting, too.

The article seemed credible to me.

ar! THQ was a fucking roller caster, it trive on bad game and good business, then start making good game and then start losing money on good games, then die. Don't make good games they are not good business har!

One helluva postmortem and THQ's fall was definitely felt through the rest of the industry. I have one friend that was working on a project that was rumored internally that they were in talks of getting publishing from THQ, but when the company fell the project got scrapped and my friend was let go.
