Hello,
I would like to introduce
Cold Contract, which follows the mechanisms of turn-based tactics games.
The player can lead a team of mercenaries on a regional map in real-time and attack the enemy positions on isometric battlefields.
The goal of the game is to take control of objectives like villages, cities, military bases, in order to find a way to the HQ of enemies.
Here's our
trailer, which shows most parts of the game:
All of the game is based on a procedurally generated environment.
Regional map, isometric maps, mercenaries, equipments, missions, enemies... are created from scratch for each new start.
The player will never face the same situation and have a game with a high level of replayability.
We have also included lot of options and upgrades:
- all mercenaries can be upgrade with perks and equipment levels;
- they have several skills common to RPG, which can be improved with experience;
- the squad linked to mercenaries can be also upgraded with some special improvements;
- the player can unlock twenty-five options in the HQ to gain more fire-power, spying options, better troops, higher funds, tactical drones...
Our choice was to offer several ways to play
Cold Contract and all of these elements contribute to this goal.
For the turn-based part, we have retain the use of action points, which gives time and liberty to player to plan his actions.
We have also included several options.
The player can spent some action points in special abilities to increase shooting accuracy, call a smoke wall, choose deadlier bullets, ...
The environment is also highly reactive to lost bullet, with some tiles, which can explode and generate gas clouds, poisoned surfaces, ...
We are currently waiting the approval of Desura.
