I just finished Neuromancer. I really loved it. It's cool to see how it would have influenced some of the sci-fi and cyberpunk works we have today and where a lot of cool cyberpunk phrases come from.

Yeh such a cool book, virtual ninjitsu Ninja

also .. from wikipedia: ... filming is expected to begin in 2012 with a budget of $60 million. Shocked

The only book I've finished lately is an iOS one. But I have just started Norwegian Wood .. we'll see how that goes .. I read almost all of Kafka on the Shore, but couldn't finish it ... Tired

Norwegian Wood is pretty good, but for Murakami I'd probably go Hard Boiled Wonderland...

Still haven't read 1Q84, it's just sitting there.

I started reading Dune, finally. I think I'll actually be able to get through all the politicking this time.

Recently read Richard Feynman's You must be joking Mr. Feynman! and What do you care what others think? He definitely was interesting person! Perhaps an another personal scientific hero of mine along with Sagan Smiley

Right now I'm reading Dawkins' God delusion. Interesting but nothing particularly new to me yet. Regarding religion I recently read Pascal Boyer's Religion explained which I recommend to anyone interested in why different religions exist and why/how they are transferred from person to person. Very fascinating and enlighting.

The politicking is important but the real gem of Dune is the worldbuilding.  I just finished the 4th and final Dune book the other month and it's an excellent capper to the series.

Started reading the first book in the Wild Cards series. Not very far in yet but interested to see where it goes and how it works with all the different authors. Anyone read any of them and got an opinion?

Ummm... Dune has 6 books.  (We all should ignore the Brian Herbert books.  Those things are awful.)

I just read The Player of Games again.

Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God-Emperor.   That's four!

(I've heard that Chapterhouse is alright but I'm totally fine with capping the series off at God-Emperor, its logical conclusion.)
