Mistborn, by Brandon Sanderson. Pretty neat so far.
Horrid cover, though. I feel like I'm reading a bad bodice-ripper.

Dragonmaw@ I think it's mostly the fact that at some point characters start to share names, having been named after OTHER characters. And also, Marquez will forget about something for 100 pages and then suddenly it becomes a major plot point. Insane to keep coherent, but great book nonetheless.
I am reading The Rainmaker by John Grisham. Kind of exactly what I expected it to be, but good nonetheless! Compelling story, solid plot, everthing you would expect from a Grishamesque courtroom drama. I think he started using ghost writers at some point though? So I can't be even sure he wrote half of the books of his that I like.

Recently finished the shining. Right now I'm about halfway through The Road. I hear it's sad. It seems pretty frigging depressing so far. Jesus.

Oh cool. I was just finishing reading The Final Kingdom, it seems like a pretty good trilogy.

Soul of a New Machine
Pretty good book. About a computer company in the 70's developing back when there was a lot of uncharted territory.

I recently picked up a few of the Warhammer 40k Omnibuses.
Just finished Ciaphas Cain : Hero of the Imperium. It was a fun read with lots of humor and a lighter tone then most other 40k novels.
Just Started the Grey Knights Omnibus which is enjoyable so far. Anything related to Daemonhunting and the inquisition in the 40k universe is usually pretty good.

About half way through Joe Hill's "Horns" and it's pretty good so far. Also great opening premise with the main guy waking up with horns after a massive night that he can't remember. Been pretty good so far and interested to see how they end things.

100 Years Of Solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
I hope you like family trees. It's not THAT complicated. It's been my experience that half the people I know who embark on the book end up ditching it once they hit the third generation. SOLDIER ON! History of the World in 6 Glasses has made me want to make Mesopotamian era Roguelike where you have to protect a warehouse full of bread and beer from evil spirits. Just finished Ciaphas Cain : Hero of the Imperium. It was a fun read with lots of humor and a lighter tone then most other 40k novels.
You should check out the actual Flashman book series if you haven't. It's who Ciaphas Cain is based off of, and is much the same stuff only solid historical fiction.

@Capntastic
Thanks for the recommendation. Flashman sounds pretty interesting from the little research I've done. I'll check it out.

I'm finding the writing style quite hard to follow, but I'm really enjoying it!
