I'm also lurking constantly the internet for a good copy of Roadside Picknic by  Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, and I am also thinking about buying Head First HTML and later Head First SQL.

There's a new translation that just came out, so go for a new copy!

Edit: here it is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1613743416/ref=pd_1ctyhuc__wl_03_02

I just read through Snow Crash, and was blown away. Now I'm keeping up some Neal Stephenson with the Diamond Age.

Non-fiction wise, I'm still reading through Gödel, Escher, Bach after finishing Hofstadter's later work, I Am a Strange Loop. I've been doing a lot of thinking about consciousness lately...

I had never read Scott Pilgrim, so I ordered the box set on Amazon. That arrived pretty quickly, and I just dove in. I'm on volume 3 right now, and I am loving it. The humor is spot on.  Smiley

Finished reading The Picture of Dorian Gray, now reading the first Hawkmoon book, "The Jewel in the Skull", by Michael Moorcock.  I love the Post-Apocalyptic Sword and Sorcery fantasy sub-genre on principal, and Asiacommunista is the best name for a fictional place.

I'm just about to finish Hitch Hiker's Guide 5, then it's Neuromancer time. Also some C & C++ programming books.

Neuromancer got me hooked on Gibson, just finished plowing through his short story collection Burning Chrome. (Spoilers: It was good)

Started reading Jeff Noon's Pixel Juice, it's a collection of short stories, he's quite influenced by Borges which shows.

Influenced by Borges? I love Borges! Color me intrigued.

Also, I am reading "Predictably Irrational", by Dan Ariely. Absolutely amazing book.

Me too. Copy duly ordered. I've actually just been rereading Borges. 'The Garden of Forking Paths' - he would have been fascinated by video games...

Barthes too, I think. 'Mythologies' is a brilliant book.

I'm reading Georges Perec's 'Species of Spaces' at the moment. It's the first time I've read any Perec and I'm enjoying it.

Just finished the Mistborn trilogy. Amazing ride, full of twists that I never saw coming. The ending was better than I ever could have imagined.
I want a videogame.
