Nice to hear that! I'm new to TIG, so if I'm doing anything wrong, or if I can do it better, feel free to tell me about it Smiley

Gameplay GIFs are usually really popular around here, so the more of those you can post, the better!

Lovely art!

Some feedback: I'd recommend using a downscaled portrait with reduced color count, that way it looks more consistent.

Other than that it looks really nice! I love the main character.

Thank you! I love her too. Her name is Kuruna.
I'm actually thinking about ditching the portrait completely. I planned for the facial expression to change, depending on the current status of the character, but it feels too gimmicky... Smiley

I like the portrait! The idea reminds me of Doom, but if Doom was absolutely adorable. It doesn't take up too much screen space, so I think it could add to the overall liveliness of the game.

Either way, it looks great! Can't wait to see the gameplay in motion.

I haven't updated this post for quite a bit, because I didn't know how to use this properly.
Well, here is an attack motion for the main character, Kuruna.
Her attack motion depends on what weapon she has equipped.

And this is the 'Walking Mushroom', one of the early enemy types.

It may look harmless, but once these mushrooms spawn in greater numbers, it will be a nightmare.

Besides their normal attacks, they also produce toxic clouds that you are better off avoiding... which restricts your maneuver options.

I forgot to mention that I already have found a composer for the game.
Please don't apply for a composer position! I always feel bad for having to turn people down.

Click here and listen to the tracks available already, I think the soundtrack will become pretty great.

This looks and sounds pretty good so far! Are you doing all the pixel art yourself?

Also, love the mushroom. Reminds me of Dungeon Meshi, if you've ever heard of it.

Thank you, various pixel artists are involved in making this, among them many japaneses.
I didn't read Dungeon Meshi, but looked it up just now.
You are right, the mushrooms look mostly identical.
Actually, his mushroom looks better than ours.  Huh?

That music though.  Kiss

I really love the orchestral sound, but if I could point out that the theme part horns sound really synthesized compared to the other instruments. But wow, you have a great OST so far.

Following! Smiley

Which means that you have a sharp ear. Who knows, we can always re-record the pieces with a real orchestra when we have money. I want to keep updating this game even after it's done. Imagine how great FTL would have become if they kept adding more and better encounters.

Thank you for following, I will keep you updated! Smiley

Long time no see, people.
In the case that you thought that this project was abandoned, I hope you are happy to hear that it's not.
Also, we are nearly ready to kickstart the game - actually, we have reached a point where we would need people's support to go on any further. But we wanted to make sure that we have enough to show around...

I have just updated the main post in this thread with new information - and new graphics.
We have many more things finished and ready to show, but I'm holding back with them so you won't be overwhelmed.

And I have also changed the status of the project to 40%, because we have progressed a lot on the groundwork: for example, dungeon generation, action and battle phase, and the inventory. Also, the main character's action palette is to 80% finished. Of course, we will add many more special animations for the main character so that it's a pleasure to see her move around and interact with the world.

This game needs a lot of contents, such as many more enemies, dungeons and random events. And we will be able to work on it when we have money to pay off people. So, I am very positive that the game won't take too long to make once we have a successful Kickstarter.

Expect to see more of the game in the future!
