Looks great! Do you plan on doing a demo or anything? Love all the little tidbits of gameplay too, seems things are coming along well!

Dont think we are going to do any demos, atleast not public, because the game will be story driven and we dont want to spoil it for people

Just some friendly feedback. You probably want as many eyes and hands on your game as you can muster before you attempt to release anything publicly. You wont believe the stuff they find or see that you can't when you're close to your project. The earlier people are playing your game, the better. There's 75 million gamers on Steam. Plenty of people who wont be spoiled by the testing...

you're right. I'll try to have a demo out as soon as I got consistent amount of the game in a playable state. Right now im working on different things all at the same time so it wouldn't really make sense to play.

Good job! I fairly enjoyed it. Couple critiques:

The footstep & jump sound FX got a little repetitive, maybe add some variation (modulation or pitch levels)?

The camera bothered me a little bit, it didn't feel as smooth as perhaps you were intending it to be? Could just be my personal preference. Tongue

Other than that, combat felt pretty good. I like the exploration in the game.

Pretty decent so far. Smiley

You have to find the sword in one of the houses. Then press 'D' to swing the sword.

This game looks a lot like Momodora. Not a bad thing. But it looks a ton like Momodora:

Did you get inspiration from that game?

Just curious, was the camera you used in this game inspired by the Yoshi's island camera? It seems similar to how it used to give more viewing area to the area that you're facing.

Dont think we are going to do any demos, atleast not public, because the game will be story driven and we dont want to spoil it for people

If spoilers are your concern, you can do what dangan ronpa did and make a fake story for the demo (events in the demo ended up happening completely differently in the actual game.) Such a concept can potentially be used to do interesting stuff like have the demo showcase a failed timeline or alternate universe, or a foggy premonition or dream the main character has of what is to come.

You could make a demo that people who get the full version would want to go back and play just to see what plot points there might be. You could foreshadow dark things that happen later in the demo so players who beat the game and go back could have a treat. I know these ideas are kind of "out there" but I think there's merit to the idea of a demo that can have a unique importance to the full game itself, and not merely exhibit a fragment of it.
