So... it really was Oblivion with guns, it had four endings and not a gazillion and the writing quality was good at some parts and bad at others. Overall, it was a good game, deeper and prettier than Oblivion. Nonetheless, Fallout 1/2 impressed me much more back then in immersiveness, despite the lack of a real AI and 3D graphics.
Btw, how was the level scaling system in Morrowind anyways? I know there was level scaling, but it wasn't as batshitcrazy as Oblivion.
I remember enemies got tougher as you leveled up, but the general feeling was that your alter-ego was getting stronger - mainly because later on the game you could fly around, jump insanely high, run insanely fast, etc. In vanilla Oblivion, when I got to level 17 something I started wishing I had never leveled up.
