my pixels got really fucked up with the resizing.  as a matter of fact I have to do the animation over again because aseprite can't undo back to it's original size, and just resizing the image manually keeps all the pixels fucked up.  thanks aseprite.  you're easy to use but sometimes you give me some major headaches.

I'll finish the rock spikes animations soon, but I have the assets finished.  Animation is REALLY holding me back, once I get finished with this it will be a wealth of progress because I've just been spending way too much time on this, I've learned a lot though especially the idea of stop wasting time trying to get it perfect when you don't know how to animate because that will just make it so you spit out 1 little animation in a week which is a major waste of time.

done animating, might need to make them darker, or standout somehow.  I took out their outlines since they were in the background, but I might do some subtle ones just so they stick out a little more

I might be a little late on that, but the fire on the logo looks a little weird. There is something wrong with the perspective. I guess it should look like this fireball "bends" around the character, leaving firetrails behind but there is something wrong with the angle. Other then that, the logo is cool Smiley

Thanks, there's a lot of stuff I need to change about the logo.  But in terms of the fire, I know what you're saying, but I did it that way because I didn't want to cover the character.  So I'm not exactly sure how to make that look better while still keeping the ladybug clear.

Great work on keeping the pixel art so clean. Animating is always a time sink but its worth the effort. Can see how much you're putting into it, the characters have a lot of personality.

Thanks man, I appreciate that.  Hopefully I get better or at least faster at this animating thing. Tongue

maybe just by giving some more sense of the direction at least.. (the fire can still spread more then in my picture to fill the empty space above, but could still face that shown direction)

i think changing the form of the circle the ladybug is going through would already help..
i'm not really an artist, maybe someone else will find a better way to improve it.
i'll stop bothering you with this now, continue doing that cool boss^^

I see what you mean.  Thankfully I still have the project saved with all the layers there so I can fix it easily.  I guess I'll get to that once I put this game on greenlight and everything.

side note this animation looks pretty good in game I think.  I might need to saturate those rock spikes a bit more...idk

Also need to add some screenshake.

the shake looks weird because of the gif framerate, but yea I'm liking the attack a lot.

adding some detail.  It's supposed to be a moth with her wings wrapped around her, but I'm starting to notice it looks like it's her body or something, like she's just a fat moth with no wings lol.  Going to have to fix that.

I think that's better.  Maybe I should change the body color as well but I don't really know.
