Crystals of Ullr is a single to (up to) 6-player co-op Hero Defense game inspired by concepts found in Warcraft 3 (and its various map mods), as well as MOBAs such as DOTA, Heroes of Newerth, and League of Legends.

In Crystals of Ullr, the goal for the player(s) are to pick a Mercenary from several options (fulfilling various roles and play styles) to play as, in order to fend off advancing waves of monsters. As the game progresses and the waves get increasingly more difficult, they will feature enemies with new and/or scarier abilities. Commander and Boss-type units will be introduced, and will present their own set of unique challenges. Ideally, with skilled play and coordination, not a single monster will step foot within the kingdom.

Players will have the ability to customize their Mercenaries through ability choices (acquired via spending Crystals), equipment augments that improve stats and accessories that grant unique modifiers (acquired via Gold Coins). Crystals and Gold Coins are earned upon the completion of each successful wave.

Update #1:

Development is progressing nicely, we are focusing on getting the game playable before we pay any attention to visual aspects.


Input, Ability, Modifier, Wave Spawner, Basic AI, and Attribute Systems are complete. Once the Item, Inventory, and Equipment Systems are in place we should have a prototype completed and the game should be playable.
