My Rates for Music:I negotiate rates personally with game developers because the complexity of the music and length of it can vary greatly from song to song. Along with that there are just personal factors that can affect the rates. A large orchestral score takes much more effort than a solo piano piece!
My Rates for Sounds:My rates for sounds are similar to music. It’s similar as where I charge by the complexity, but I do not charge by the length. Some sounds like looping background ambiences are quite simple to do while explosions are far more difficult to achieve.
