The TIGForums Twenty 2007!

DISCUSSION FOR THIS TOPIC GOES IN THIS THREAD.

Okay, fuck, I know everyone's tired of "best" lists and I've been on big tirades about them... but this is NOT one, really.  It's more like a fun forum game.  I totally jacked the idea from selectbutton.net, who in turn jacked it from the shmups.com forums.

The basic idea is just that each person writes down their favorite games and scores them, and we compile a list of twenty games from that, for the entire forum.  What's cool is that shmups.com has been doing this for a few years, and they can see how the forum's tastes have changed in those years.  Also, for any given year, you can see what each individual member's list was.  If you enter now, in following years you could see what your own list was in 2007.

Isn't that great?!  And maybe I'm being presumptuous for thinking TIGSource will last that long, but hey, a man can dream, can't he?  Let's try it!

How to Play

You have 210 points (that's 20 + 19 + 18 + ... + 1) to spread out amongst as many games as you want (up to a total of 210, obviously).  The most basic way to do this is to submit 20 games (check out my list for an example).  But you could also give ten games 1 point each and then load 200 points on a single game!  Or even put all 210 points on one game, if you really want to see that game on the list.  So there's some strategy to it if you're interested.

Otherwise, just puttin' up your list of games for posterity is reason enough to enter.

Rules:

- LISTS ONLY IN THIS THREAD!  DISCUSSION IN THIS THREAD!

- You are only allowed 210 points total.  But you may use less.

- Any game from any system or genre, indie or not.  If Tiger LCD Baseball is one of your favorite games, do it!

- Must be a game and not a series.  "Street Fighter II: Turbo Edition" and not "Street Fighter II."  I realize that hurts games with a lot of expansions and sequels, but that's what they get.

- Mods are okay, too!

- Be honest and don't vote 210 for some dumb game just to be funny.

- However, how you interpret "favorite" is entirely up to you... nostalgia is a perfectly good reason to vote.

- USE THE RIGHT FORMAT!  Rank your games like "1." and score them like "[1]" as I've done below.

- This thread will be up for a month (until September 22th), when the thread will be locked and the scores tabulated into a master list.  We're going for 20, but I'll display 100, so even 1 point votes count!

- Feel free to edit your list within the month of voting!

...Shadow of the Colossus...man, I wish I still had it...

Edited my list, again lol...got rid of World of Warcraft...it was good for awhile but as with most MMOs it just turns into a big long grinding bore-fest...

I also took Twilight Princess off...'cause, as good as a game as it is, it is still basically a revamped Ocarina of Time with a different control setup (well on the Wii at least)
