It may not read super well when it's tiny. I would try to use as few lines as possible on the coat. You would probably also want higher contrast, especially between the eyes and the background. Also, it looks like you put a transparent black shape over the right side which muddies your colors, I would try doing the color change by hand, adding complimentary color and what not.

Here's the final version if anyone's interested. THe wings looked too much like pincers and I modified the colors to match the lava in our game.  Big Laff
