So, how are you doing Soulja? Any estimated release date or something?

Okay, I am definitively late with this topic. But I was just ripping off audio from Soulja Boy's "Braid Review" and this thing struck me once again.
When he made this review, I already asked this question, but nobody really tried to answer it directly. So, I might be totally out-dated, but in any case I'm asking:
Is he saying "ain't no point to the game" or "ain't no points in the game"?
I am not native English speaker, so I might be wrong. But I have heard this video so many times and I just can't resist and question why everyone think he's saying that there is no point in the game.
Let's solve this for once.

This is weird. This topic made me google the video to watch it again and I came across a Destructoid comment where some guy actually had some intelligent commentary on the video: It's actually pretty interesting, that after all of the internet hubbub about what the story is trying to say, or not trying to NOT say, and the whole pricing thing and the internet darling-ness, and jonathan blow and all that....after all that nonsense, it comes down to is the game fun, and apparently for some people it is.
I like how he says there is no point to the game. Seriously, its something that people making these types of download-able games should look at, if the basic gameplay isn't fun, then it just isn't worth it. he definitely was cracking up, but like he said, it's something that he primarily plays when he is drunk or high, relagating it to a "mess around" game
I know alot of people are going to see this and claim he is playing it "wrong" or that he has no idea what he is doing, or something else negative towards solja boy's music (which isn't the topic here) or etc, but if you have to say those type of things, doesn't that speak to the game more than anything else? All I'm saying is this, for all those who felt that buying Braid was some kind of "duty" they had to fulfill to support independent gaming, or to say that they experienced something that was "surreal and innovative", someone else (in this example, solja boy) just purchased it justt to play around and laugh at/with...but both of your $15 dollars are the same, so is any player more right or more wrong then the other? not really.... If anything it's makes both people RIGHT.
Point of the story?: Don't think you are somehow "better" than him just because he sees the game in a different way... remember Gamer/Internet Etiquette from a few posts ago?...

That said, though, I think however you enjoy a game is fine. I actually have no clue why people were upset or angry at the video in the first place.

I don't totally agree with that guy, but I just found it amazing that someone actually had intelligent commentary on the video, rather than "Souja boy sux cock" or "ahaha that is funny". |
