Hi there,

I'm creating a tutorial for my board game, but need lots of help to write the dialogs of the characters that guide the player in the tutorial level or mission. The player can choose one of three companions: warrior, magician or trader. I want them to have characteristic speeches, but don't feel creative enough to come up with a natural sounding script. The game has a medieval theme and this is the sequence of events:

(game starts, generic dialogs)
1. Welcome the player.
2. Request a name for the player.
3. The player is told to choose a character.
4. Ask the player to pull the trigger to generate a companion.

(now the companion appears, dialog has characteristic speech)
5. The character presents itself and offers training the player...

(attacking lessons)
6. Shows the board.
7. Shows the opponent (a dummy) at the other side of the board.
8. The companion shows itself next to the board.
9. Explains that pieces can be combined.
10. Asks the player to try.
11. If the player fails, encourages him to try again.
12. Tells the player to finish the match.
13. "Congratulates" player for defeating... a dummy :D Now to the real battle...

(defense lessons)
14. Explains that opponents have a turn counter.
15. Tells the player to skip 1 turn, letting the opponent to perform its attack.
16. Explains the player his health was reduced.
17. Asks to combine health pieces in order to increase it.
18. If the player fails, encourages him to try again.
19. Tells the player to finish the match.
20. Now to the adventure...

Any help will be greatly appreciated Smiley

Have you found a writer yet? If not, I might be interested.
