http://www.mprart.net/the-grandfather-dev-blog/"The Grandfather" is a Procedural/Rouge-like game, presented in a pop-up storybook, comic book art style, with narration by a female actress (big announcement to come later this year). The Game tells the tale of an old man who is tormented by the coldness of his wife. One night The Grandfather tries to get a goodnight kiss from his wife before going to bed, she gives him the cold shoulder. The next morning the old man wakes up and he is missing all of his body parts, except for his head. The procedural aspect comes into play through the order in which the story is told, and the how the user actually creates the soundtrack by interacting with objects as they play the game.
2/28/2015Production is just beginning, The Grandfather is a 3 man team, consisting of me, the mind behind The Lady

Currently we are working on getting our environment style down by using the 3 rooms that will appear in the demo (hopefully releasing in late April), and are working in Unity. Environment is very important to me (if you played The Lady you will see), so I plan to spend a lot of time on getting the environment down first before even really starting on gameplay. At this point gameplay can best be described as "pacman with no borders or gravity, with puzzle and exploration elements".
I will be updating this often and hopefully Gavin will be posting a lot as well with technical coder talk that I don't understand.
For now here are some screenshots of concepts, 2d assets, and early work in the engine:
