Hello all,

It's long past time that I start playing a role here at TIGSource. So, hello!

I am working on a Flash game that I plan on shopping around for sponsorships and other revenue streams once it's done. I was initially planning on doing all the art and sounds myself, but I've come to the realization that this is supposed to be a business, so I probably want to recruit an artist and sound guy to make the game that much more polished.

The question I have is, what sort of compensation is usually offered in situations like this? It's a tricky issue since there's no money in it for me upfront. Do teams usually come up with profit sharing agreements for this sort of thing, or would I be better advised to simply offer a one-time payment? I know another option is to look for unpaid help, or existing assets that are publicly licensed, but that feels dishonest to me when part of my own goal is to make a little money.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
