I had ghost pepper hot links (as in sausage), but I wasn't told that is what they were. As far as I knew they were just normal hot links. The most bizarre part is for the first 5 minutes or so while and after eating one they seemed to have no burn to them whatsoever, I didn't even notice them being spicy. After those first few minutes, though, it was like a napalm strike went across my tongue.

The only burn I've had worse than that was my first experience with wasabi in which my sister, never having had it either, doused vegetable sushi wraps she'd made in them and then we both ate them and it was so hot I literally was blinded for a few seconds. Wasabi has that weird chemical burn to it, it's good in moderation but in large amounts it will fuck you up.
