no!
That was teh answer they give before dropping AAA, they said, when rumor of Kojima was fired and that konami issued a statement that mgs and other franchise will continue, which turn out to not be exactly true in the light of current announcement!
It's a literal betrayal

game industry people know each other, news at 11.
honestly tho, i could imagine kojima getting his own studio as a subsidiary of sony. especially considering MGS is one of THE classic playstation series.

Konami: "Don't embarrass yourself in front of other players by letting Big Boss get unsightly tooth decay, for a mere $20 a month you can purchase our dental plan and maintain your place in the virtual social hierarchy! First time buyers will receive a free tooth-themed camouflage!"

I don't have a problem with folks with more money than sense subsidizing more game development. I don't see how this negatively affects players who choose not to buy since it doesn't make it any harder to attack an insured FOB, it just minimizes the damage. Is the FOB metagame in such a state that the existence of insurance hurts the uninsured? Is there a way to "win" the FOB metagame by having a top score or something?
I could see players publicly shaming folks who buy the insurance, turning them into targets who suffer frequent attacks especially after their insurance expires. On the other hand, if you were already a target of a faceless mob of peacewalkers the ability to buy insurance would be a godsend.

The real problem is what it opens the door to.
Generally, at least with AAA games, if something proves lucrative nearly everybody wants in on it and the next step becomes finding ways to mechanically funnel players into needing it to get the full experience. After that it becomes about progressively getting the player to pay more and more for less and less. DLC and Pre-Order editions are a shining example of this process (where a lot of the time the content is already on disc) as well as the ship-and-fix-later production. We are seeing a lot of franchises degrade into broken cash cows, this "insurance" scheme may be the next link in that chain if it proves successful (and the more it succeeds the more it will inevitably be abused).

They added a feture that steals players time and resolved it by a paid removal. Basically its like free-to-play, where game is deliberately designed to be unsatisfying so you need to pay for a privilege of normal game.
