VGM Composer and Sound Designer

Video games inspired me to make music, and now, 10 years later I lay down sick beats and engaging melodies.

My good friend Rho from the Starbound team introduced me to this nifty site (and made my awesome avatar, thanks!), and I was wondering if anyone needs a rockstar composer/sound designer to join their team.

I specialize in: Trip hop, downtempo, ambient, piano, orchestral, alternative rock, acoustic guitar, funk, hip hop, psytrance, trance, techno, electronica, glitch, 8bit, 16bit, classic demoscene VGM, vaporwave, soundscapes.

My set of instruments: Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, harmonica, condenser microphone, real 2x tube amplifier, ridiculous Yamaha speakers (monitors) with an accurate representation of the sound, and AKG headphones for mastering. I also devoutly follow the practice of testing my music on old hardware, laptop speakers, smartphones, and mass-produced earbuds. This ensures that it is uniform across everything.

I have access to studio-level equipment and can also provide vocals, and sound effects. I have a quick turn-around time especially suited for companies that release multiple mobile games over a short timeframe. But what I am really looking for is a game with style that is looking for an extremely polished soundtrack which will immerse the player and encourage replayability.

I am additionally very skilled at making looped tracks, and with some research, to confidently compose in about 95% of available genres.

My output level is variable. If you need basic background music or are a start-up, we can settle on a low price. If you need an AAA quality soundtrack, that is also possible but will require substantially more hours. As always, it's all about the requirements of the game. Casual mobile games that fly off the desk at the office will get catchy tunes that are not too cluttered for the listener (leave room for effects!), and your flagship games will receive sound distinctly tailored to the experience of playing it.

I typically charge $50 - $200 per minute of completed music (mastered, and mixed to perfection) depending on complexity, but this is something we will discuss later. Hourly and flatrate is also acceptable. If you are doing rev-share, I will require more information to consider your project.
