Yeah, I did not know what the heck until I watched some vids. Now, it is a super source of inspiration for me, and I love it a whole lot.

I've wanted to play rakugaki showtime for so long. Too bad I'd have to shell out 200 bucks to do it  Concerned

Anything by Treasure tends to be amazing, though sometimes it feels a bit too experimental (Stretch Panic, for example)- and they will more often than not use 2D graphics on a 3D world (though then they'll sometimes resort to 2.5D, like Mischief Makers, though that had I believe one boss that was genuinely 3D with a pixel sprite as a texture...)

On that note, I will mention Grandia.

Since I came after the age of pixel art, low-poly, low-colour 3d is full of nostalgia. The muddy 256-colour computer game and gritty N64 textures bring back memories.

On the other hand, trying to forget nostalgia, I am of the mind that low-poly 3d looks terrible unless they use simpler shapes and bright colours. The look of DS 3d is much more appealing to me than older 3d games now.

Yeah, same. Has anyone tried the Avalon Code demo? It looks beautiful!

I actually came in during the Gamecube, though...  Embarrassed

Dragonball: Origins is a game with the cartoony low-poly 3d I really like. It's a very nice looking (and playing) recent game for the DS. Screenshots are kinda crummy.

Apparently they're trying REALLY hard to keep true to the anime/manga?

I'm genuinely surprised, but I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not.
