Is this okay for my first hamster?

http://imgur.com/gYu6Gqv

I am working on a game and I am trying to do EVERYTHING. Including the art.

Honest feedback please =)

It is heavily referenced but I added my "swag" to it.

It's nice, but I'm pretty sure that's a Guinea pig? :p

Could be.  Maybe I'm an idiot.  I just can't get right.

That is actually the exact reference I used.

I found this one, which looks like the one you used:

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/423760646159657488/

It does say hamster on the site, but surely this must be the same animal as above, from the same photo session? Which is definitely a Guinea pig. So it's not your fault if somebody mistagged it!

But if you look at the related images on this link you'll see some actual hamsters.

The image took me to this link: http://peacelovenwhiskers.com/small-furry-feather-finned-friends-meet-john-the-hamster/

Where a commenter confirmed my suspicions:

Quote
John is very cute! And thanks for the good hamster advice!
I just wanted to point out something about the picture right after the video and right above the title, “About Syrian Hamsters”. I think the creature in that picture is actually a guinea pig. Tongue just saying

But it's a very nice Guinea pig, so I'm sure you'd pull off a great hamster too. Wink

Thank you.  I'll redue it immediately!  Thanks for not calling me an idiot!  Let's be friends!
