Here's an exclusive sneak peak on my upcoming B-Game greatness. It's called SM Word.

It has the most amazingly realistic graphics ever. Seriously, it looks like the real thing. Just look at this screenshot:

The game features:
  • Realistic graphics
  • Game Design by Bill Gates (or whom ever designed Microsoft Word)
  • Innovative yet intuitive way of using your keyboard and microphone

Here's how you play the game:

As can be seen in the screenshot you have to type in the phrase "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" over and over and over again. Every time you finish the sentence you get points.

But there will be these error messages that pop up from time to time. And to continue writing you have to get rid of them. And you can only close them by shouting (preferably cursing) and banging your keyboard with your fists.

Eventually the error messages will spawn so numerously that the program crashes and you'll be scored on your performance.

The game will be released tomorrow. And yeah, it requires a microphone.

Download the game

The game is out now, download it from here: SM_Word.zip (1,0 Mb)

But SM Word has much less error messages and is generally more user friendly than Microsoft Word Smiley

But that's not a 'proper' game, it's a SIMULATOR!  :D

I am looking forward to trying it! (however, I'll bang my table, not my keyboard)

Yeah, I cannot be held responsible if you manage to destroy your keyboard playing this game Smiley

There's a special keyboard banging detection algorithm there, but I think banging your table works just as well (I think the microphone will detect that also). But banging your keyboard has that special built in satisfaction...

And I should probably dub this as the "Word Simulator". I think it would be a much better and more describing name than "SM Word".

31500

I actually had some of my family downstairs get curious as to what I was ranting about. '****ing Word!' turned out to be a decent enough excuse.

I had to go and buy myself a microphone to do this game in the first place Smiley

LOL. I wish I had come up it such a great excuse. I had to go around and tell everyone that if there's some loud shouting coming from my room, that means that I'm testing this new game I'm creating.

This is a really authentic experience. The most fun part is, when other peaple wonder what you are getting so mad about.

The name is a double entendre. So both of the interpretations are correct.

Great Game.
I had some weird auto-fire because all pop-ups closed auto-magically.
I wish someone would have told me it was only a simulator because now I've uninstalled Word 2007 on all machines at work.  Cool

Did you have some music playing in the background? Or was the room you where you were playing filled with noise? Both of these can cause the auto-fire effect.

Maybe he's one of those bomb guys from Serious Sam? Or maybe he's Henry Rollins?

I don't have a microphone but so far the game has still proven very fun! I think you should market this as anger management!

I had the same 'autofire' problem. I have a mostly-broken headset-mic thingy.
