Thanks! I prototyped a bit of gameplay today with lego bricks, and I found a way to make the game a bit more puzzling. It involves locking certain characters in place and giving them a bonus for that, so encounters can be designed around those constraints. I'll have a post ready to discuss this!

I'm surprised you posted on this thread though, wasn't expecting a response on it so I jumped back a bit when I saw the name in the "new replies to your posts" section.

Where it at?
It's, uh, on my old computer actually... you probably won't be seeing anything from this project for a while. At least until Christmas, because that's when I'll be able to retrieve the Game Maker file. I haven't been wasting my time though, I am currently in the process of fixing up my Ludum Dare 32 game for an Itch.io release. I'll post on the town hall when that's done.
