A few months ago, Hyperspace Pinball (which appears in much older threads here) got Greenlit; thus proving games with pinball controls can actually succeed on Greenlight
. The previous release of Hyperspace Pinball looked OK for mobile devices, but in my opinion lacking the quality that Steam deserves. After a few months of giving a complete overhaul to the graphics (and fixing the stupid ball-fall-through-flipper bug that has plagued the old release), I'm finally ready to announce to the world that
Hyperspace Pinball for Steam is now in development with an estimated September release.Current prototype video:
Play over twenty challenge-filled levels destroying invading aliens using only pinball flippers and a light ball. Rack up big points and power ups by looping the ball around the table, getting bonuses, and beating one of several unlockable mini-challenges. The feature list includes:
- Colorful graphics that blend space and fantasy themes
- Over 20 challenging levels
- Steam achievements and leaderboards
- Collectable Steam trading cards (because why not?)
I'll be making a closed beta invite post in the next week or two; at the moment I'm having some difficulties with the Steam integration that I hope get resolved soon.
