They're even more scary and delicious now!
My feelings exactly! I never clicked on this thread before because... I don't know why, actually. This looks amazing!
Thanks! Glad you're digging it. It's now the fifth time I've been like "hmm.. Knuckle Sandwich.. sounds familiar", clicked the thread open, been like "oh I got to post to follow this" and immediately got something more urgent to do.. so NOW I'll do it :D

Thankyou! I get the same feeling with lots of cool projects on here. Mmm, this all looks delicious. Great art and animation!
Thanks! There's lots of updated art that I haven't shown off yet - I can't wait. ---------------------------------- I did a really big interview about the game where I explain a heap about the game's story and systems (stuff I haven't 100% gotten into yet). Do take a look: http://www.siliconera.com/2015/08/25/knuckle-sandwich-may-look-like-earthbound-but-its-much-more-than-that/

That was awesome. Reading that really sheds some light on what the game is about, thanks for the interview. It kind of reminds me of the Harvest Moon series in which, each day, you have to do your tedious work and you're just itching to finish it so you can go explore the world.
Except, this feels like the world will be much larger and interactive. :D

Is it just in the gifs, or in the text bubbles when the text goes away, it just changes to a brighter white than the bubble itself?

That's the aim! I really don't want to spoil things, so I feel this is the best way to describe it. Every single update and improvement makes me more and more excited for this game!
Weird, I feel the same way! Is it just in the gifs, or in the text bubbles when the text goes away, it just changes to a brighter white than the bubble itself?
Just the gifs! ---------------------------------- Big preview article on the game went up on PC Gamer the other day! Lots of new stuff is mentioned. Check it: http://www.pcgamer.com/knuckle-sandwich-is-like-a-grown-up-earthbound/

They'll return in some capacity. Right now, I'm focusing on quality over quantity. PS. Here's a scarecrow:

Haha, he's not doing a very good job at scaring the crows. They must like the music. Could you make them all bob their heads in tune to the music the scarecrow plays? That would be hilarious. I remember in the New Super Mario Bros game on Wii, the baddies would do some sort of dance/hop in time with certain parts of the music. I always thought it was such an awesome subtle thing: Reference: (Watch the green koopa on the right) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8MBFv6DY00&feature=youtu.be&t=4m15s

Hi, accidentally found this: in the Screenshot Saturday thread (I've got a lot to go thru, haven't been thru the DevLogs for ages) and thought to myself: wow, that's very Earthbound/Mother 2-3 like. Seconds later I was here, giggling like an idiot at every other update post. Funny thing, as I was recently revisiting the series and thinking if anyone would be able to pick up the visual style and humor. Seeing how you're stating to go for quality over quantity, and to give it a more mature tone, I'm pretty much sold at the moment, hehe. Subscribed to the newsletter, best of luck (perseverance?) on this!

Wow, great stuff you've got here. I really enjoy the earthbound-y style, not many rpgs are set in modern times! Is there any twist to the battle system or is it traditional turn based battles?

I just can't get over the visuals. This game looks better with every post. Anyway, I finished a piece of fanart that I mentioned earlier. I hope its okay! http://duskedsky.tumblr.com/image/129101689186 (just posting the link instead since this isn't my thread)
