you play as an arcade cabinet, looking out on all the little kiddies with quarters playing you. your goal is to control your AI to put up enough of a challenge to suck their quarters away, but being easy enough for them not to become frustrated and move on to another machine.

the cockpit idea that ties the whole thing together is being able to see the kids' reactions. if you are so hard they go on the verge of crying, or sart to get upset, while if you are a fun machine you start to see kids line up to play you.

the actuall game that you are would probably be something really simple.

what do you think? I hope I have enough spare time to make this.

Sounds cool. Very original, don't think there's a game quite like it, although the Rollercoaster Tycoon games have you doing similar things regards ride prices.

Oooh!  Awesome mechanic.  I've only ever seen that done with programming/designing something (like Rollercoaster Tycoon), not with manual control!

Hahaha, this is a pretty wicked idea. Remember all those quarters you lost in the arcade as a kid, it's time to take them back. With vengeance.
