Hello.

I would like to share with you Chronobot, a game we've been developing for the past three months.
It was a student project and we are considering to continue working on it, but first we would like to share it with the community and receive some general feedback  Smiley

Chronobot is a self-cooperative top down action game for two players. This build can only be played by two players with Xbox 360 controllers (or other ones if they are emulated). We are considering on adding support for a keyboard + mouse configuration for one player, and adding an AI so you can play by yourself. It has two game modes and a tutorial.

This build currently only runs on Windows, and it can be configured to run on different quality configurations.

Wow, this looks amazing! Love the style, love the concept. I'll definitely have to find a second player to try it out.

Got a friend to try the game out with me. We both loved it! Specific points:

  • Visually, it seemed harder to tell the green player's clones from the green player than it was to tell the red player's clones from the red player. Red clones had a more purple tinge that made them stand out, so some (more?) hue rotation on green clones could maybe help them look more different.
  • Contamination and domination were fun, but a straight up deathmatch mode is a must.
  • I'd like to have played for more rounds per game. At 5, it feels like the time clones are just getting started. 10 or 15 would make things more interesting as the board fills up with clones.
  • The animations of the robots when players are readying up are great! The win/lose portraits gave us a good laugh too. Love the aesthetic.

Awesome game overall. I'd love to see it developed into a full product.

This looks really fun!  I love the clean art style and the time mechanic looks like it could get crazy.
