Hiya - Lewis here from BeefJack Promote. We're a division of BeefJack dedicated to promoting indie, creative and alternative games, and we're seeking an enthusiastic, social media-savvy Community Manager to join its team in a part-time, freelance capacity.
We feel this would be a great opportunity for a passionate gamer to work alongside BeefJack and a variety of other games studios to develop communities, plan and deliver social media content, and enhance audience interaction with a range of awesome games.
This is a
paid, part-time, work-from-home contractual position, but you’ll be in regular contact with our marketing team via email, IM and phone. You’ll be responsible for:
- Assisting with the planning of social media content
- Delivering content on social and community platforms
- Working with the marketing team to interpret and develop client briefs
- Interacting with and moderating online communities for BeefJack and its clients’ games
- Helping to increase acquisition, engagement and retention on social and community platforms
- Working closely with the Head of PR to ensure core messages about our games are communicated to the right communities
- Producing weekly social and community reports to deliver to the marketing team
RequirementsWe will consider applicants from a range of backgrounds. This role may be ideal especially for recent graduates, freelancers, or other individuals with a bit of time to kill and a desire to work in digital marketing, PR or the media.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a demonstrable passion for games, particularly indie games
- Is savvy with a range of social media platforms
- Has a great command of written English
- Preferably, experience running or moderating online communities
- Preferably, someone with experience developing communities and audiences around a particular product or service (e.g. YouTubers, bloggers etc)
- Is based in the UK or available to work during UK working hours
- Has 10-15 hours of time to commit per week, preferably within normal business hours
