I play with a Xbox 360 controller most of the time and if a game doesn't support it I use a button mapper to play with my gamepad. I use KB + Mouse on strategy and tower defense games, but that's about it.

I have a gamepad. I have supermeatboy. That game warns you about the dangers of not using a gamepad.
I play the game (and have nearly cleared all dark world levels) on keyboard in sheer defiance.

Seriously though, why not support both input types if you can?
User choice is a good thing.

Starting from last week I am in possession of a Surface Pro 3 and if your game looks like it should be playable on a touch screen and it actually isn't, I resent you forever as a developer. Just putting that out there.
