the birthday party was a pretty damn good band and cave was one of the best frontmen. the more he got into the faux blues/gospel "christian" stuff during his solo career the more ridiculous it got. i will say that it was fun in a campy way on the earlier albums like "tender prey" and "the good son", but what he does now is basically adult contemporary for aging ex-goths.

(Comedy Recut of Wickerman) Cage is capable of some great stuff buuutt he is also capable of inhuman ridiculousness. Weather Man and 9mm are dope movies buuuut then again Vampires Kiss and Bad Lieutenant exist and they are like The Room on Bath Salts.
