Shadowstone is an action-rpg rogue-like game we are currently developing for PC. We hoping to launch our Steam Greenlight page in the next month or so.

Key features:
  • Customizable character
  • Classes and Races
  • Skill Tree and Character Development
  • Randomized Dungeons
  • Mini-bosses
  • Crafting
  • Powered by Unity and Spine

Wanted to share some before and after shots going from Tiled on Mac to Unity in-game. We've also adjusted the room perspective and zoomed out the camera so you get a better sense of whats in the rooms!

Room created with Tiled

In-game - Unity3D

We're also using Spine so the animations are pretty smooth! Here is one of the enemies (classic dungeon enemy) as a GIF. (The GIF doesn't really do the smoothness justice, but it's better then nothing!)

The art looks great! Are you using meshes for the animation?

Cool, I like the art Smiley Very clean, and characters and objects you can interact with seem to be well distinguished.

Thanks guys! We're pretty happy with how the game is looking.

Yes, we are using meshes in Spine along with free-form deformation. There is some FFD being done on the skeleton enemy (I believe), but I know for sure it's used on the cloth for other enemies and definitely used on the banshee!

It looks really nice. I'm so much a fan of this kind of games.

An off-topic question: do you plan to release Devious Dungeon 2 on Android ?
The original is one of the few games I fully completed on phone and I would be more than happy to buy its sequel  Grin Grin Grin

Whoah this looks right up my alley, can't wait for some gameplay videos/gifs!

The mirror showing the player's back in the character customization screen is also a nice touch Smiley

We are working hard on getting the gameplay feeling right so we can get a trailer edited. We'll be sure to post some of the raw footage here for you guys to check out!

The mirror was a neat touch we're pretty proud of. Thanks for noticing!

We've created the "rules" for Tiled to speed up (and make less mistakes!) making maps. Right now it helps place walls, doors, and pits.

Made a pretty significant UI change for the character creator. Visual previews of the items the player will be able to use.

We also got the random dungeon generation working, now we just need to make a bunch of content to lots of random rooms!
