A Little personal project I made for myself. The modelling is nearly done, just got the UVing and Rigging to go now.

Holy crap, how is that even possible Elliot D? :O

I recently made my first 3D model:

It's the main character from a game I'm casually tinkering with. I'm having trouble making his face more likeable though, especially the eyebrows are hard to get right. Any suggestions?

Pretty extreme, but this is the direction that works. Your face is maybe pinched in the middle which makes the pig read as self centered. Bigger eyes are easier to like, also bigger pupils in those eyes. I angled the brows to be sad/pathetic/helpless. Everyone likes pathetic and helpless right?

Thanks! I'll try making his eyes bigger!

I made another playable character by the way, say hi to Speedy:

It's fun making these spherical animals. They may be simple, but they're quite challenging for a noob like me!

EDIT:
Made a shark as well!

@TheSnidr - Hah, I like the style. Nice and simple.

@Tennis - Awesome work as always. Crazy color scheme, too. Smiley

nice gun! though the in-game shading ruins the textures.

I'm doing the painting on a reduced but still high-poly model (around 100K, unwrapped and packed by hand) this will then be used to bake a colour map, which I will combine with several AO maps from the really high res one all baked onto the low res model.
Painting is not done, he needs stripes and then I'll probably have a lot more details to put in.

nice stuff, but it needs more defenition of the muscles on the stomach to fit with the rest of the body. abs, ribs and a belly button. also why not genetalia? serously, if your going for something creppy, that would add a lot.

im trying to practice on handpainting textures, so ive done somekind of fantasy knight, diffuse map only. kind of lowpoly too, 2200 tris.

EDIT: changed size

Shocked My Word! That is one glorious character. The design, the painting, the tech limits... I want to play that game.
