That character is very well done and appropriately MML like. It seems right up my alley!

@Henry - Very nice tower! That clean untextured look may not be what you are going for, but it's a really nice, simple approach to things (reminds me of the Apotos levels from Sonic Unleashed).

Oh man thank you for the kind words (everyone!) but that's such a cool model, I remember it. In fact I have it saved on my hard drive somewhere. Crazy How long did that fella take you to rig, if you rigged it?

I actually never rigged it, haha. I never expected to get any use out of a rigged version, so i never got around to that part. I built it and then posed it by hand.

Ah gosh, thanks.

I made this city worker in a couple days... will probably revisit him later to give him proper shading. Right now the UVs are just both faces on one axis sharing a texture.

3D is fun to learn.

I love the art style. Does this belong to a game or is it just for practice?

A lot of work, but I'm trying to paint all the light by hand and then have 2 textures I can blend together.

Sky Rogue is finally on steam. Games come a long way since I first started posting models for it.
Check it out.

@Seiseki: That looks so crisp and chunky. I love it Kiss Manual lightning sounds interesting too.
@Delko: Everything you've posted about Sky Rogue has looked fantastic. Congrats on getting it to Steam!

I'm doing my best to make it into a game. See pastelllian.tumblr.com for my lil dev blog thingy.

Seiseki that's beyond gorgeous, holy crap.

Aw jeez thanks DF! I'll let you know when I get to that point for sure. Your robot lady's cool, she reminds me a lot of Crescens from Xenogears.

Today I did some Nihei inspired architecture. Gotta texture it and add in all the detail-y bits now. It took a lot less time than I imagined it would have to make something like this.

YEEEEESSSSS! Nihei's environments are so cool to look at, it's kind of baffling how few attempts people have made to make it in 3D.

It's really a shame, because it's so satisfying to slap pipes and lights everywhere.

@letsap

Your 3d modeling style reminds me a lot of 0x10c, that one space programming game Notch canceled.

Small steps into the world of 3D:

I need to put more time into this. It sure is fun and interesting.

I like the light a lot. It give the picture a feel of peacefullness but a little bit disturbing!
Nice atmosphere!

I'm glad you liked my early 3D stuff, The MegaMagic Dude. I'm still experimenting with lights and all that, as well as getting better with modeling. I'm going to work on textures so I can do some cool low-poly pixel texture art Smiley

This thread is inspiring!

Trying to nail that lowpoly + pixel art retro look, kinda happy for my first try, but still a long way ahead.
