Here's some crap I'm working on. Obligatory "Holy crap!" introduction. That's really 3D? Something like that house would have easily passed just as well in the pixel art thread and still get the compliments. This is more the kind of thing I like in terms of 3D models. The pixeled and cel-shaded looks have always seemed to be more constant in terms of quality and always look good to me compared to "regular" 3D models that always look like they could stand more polish because they have that same old dull texture.

Nice Geti, that image really makes me want to run around an explore. Its like the ruins of a lost kingdom or empire. Why did it collapse? who were the people? Are there people nearby who are their descendents? Maybe a small town with an Inn? Do they know what happened? Maybe I should head into town and ask around, maybe there are secrets or something valuable.

-Awesome image- Keep playing around with the scene and losing hours :/
Very nice job. I think the bricks are too thin, though - perhaps you could take them from four bricks on a single cube to two. It still looks great, though.

Here's some crap I'm working on. No need for false modesty here. How are you doing your textures for this render ? Simply pixel art ? Some personal work from before this summer (you can find more on my blog, i didn't want to spam this topic with a dozen of images) :

It was a 3d port, a simple map because we were two making it. Still it was rather big. In fact that was for my first year in college, and we had a terrible teacher, at least as much as the school so we made a project on our own to show people what they could have done with a little art direction... yet we didn't really make one but that was still fun !

Must.. resist... urge... to build... more mockups... If you don't make anything out of this then you have to turn it into a minecraft texturepack.

I might not then say I did Something'll probably come of it some months from now, we're figuratively snowed in just with stuff on the roadmap, which naturally doesn't include unforseen bugs, features that just have to be put in, etc. Once there's some free time again, it'll happen. Fingers crossed

Some hastily put model for a Caraibean platformer game base on the sonic like engine i'm working on. 4600 tri Here is the original concept, I change the tail to an unusual place to give personality and distinctive silhouette.
