The wood's not bad. It's a little shiny, though. The stone looks really off, though. I think it needs to be a less uniform object, and use a very simple texture for the stone's actual texture (plus some AO, if you feel like it).

He looks pretty boxy :/ Do you have a render from the sort of angle he'll be viewed at? Seems like it'd be hard to "read" what sort of unit he was.

Much better, it looks like slate now. The rock is looking a little shiny though, as if it was wet. Unless you want it to look wet of course, wich would be good for a dark outside environment.

@Willy-Wilson - NICE. You should show some more of that. :D
@CowBoyDan - Looking better. It's a bit shiny, like Ajezard said, but it still looks better. Good job.

@willy-wilson That's totally got me thinking of a an isometric rougelike like Zettai hero project.

Does anyone have tutorials on how to do that sort of art? Low-poly with pixel-art texture? I've never really had any experience in 3D-modelling so I don't know where to start.

I think You just need to setup textures without interpolation/mipmapping and create model like normal one.
