Mucking around in blender to make a small thing in unity over the mid-sem break as i'll have some time around KAG work.
First time doing any sort of rigging, really. Still some kinks but being able to pose stuff so quickly is a giant plus.
Sniper team go!

"What're you doing down there"
"shh, you'll blow my cover!"
"It's already blown you idiot, I'm sitting in a tree!"
Whole scene is 1253 faces (quads and tris). Sniper currently 167 quads rigged with 11 bones, Trees are between 78 and 116 faces, everything is on 2 128x128 diffuse + alphas at the moment, planning on using just 1 128x128 for the world stuff (might exapand to 256x256 if I need it for structures) with a 128x128 for each unit type and all associated items. The sniper currently uses like 50% of the sniper map, the trees and grass use <25% of the world space.
Still need to do a gun or two for the sniper, maybe some other misc items if i have UV space.
might drop the contrast on the tree bark a bit, its popping a bit much at the moment.
Dawnbringers 16col palette at the moment, might expand, might not. The overlapping geo looks way better with limited colours.
Might talk about the game idea later and perhaps start a devlog. Rough ideal is snipers v ninjas.
Props to kitheif for inspiring the paradigm shift to cubism.
