Its like Star Fox meets Kirby! I like the subtle movements on the pipes wire things too.

pretty much done finally, I might mess with his shoes some more tho.

Looks nice, although I'm not sure about the shoes.
I'm pretty involved in the /tg/ server for SS13, so I'm excited about Space Station Delta.

Have you chosen to render it without bilinear or anything for a specific reason? I suppose you're trying to preserve the pixeliness. I'd be interested in seeing it with some sampling, even if you don't want to use it for the game.

Constantly inspired by all the 3D stuff in here! I've finally got round to having another go at it myself. I installed the Modo 601 trial, and followed a face modelling tutorial. Used my own reference drawings, which were pretty rushed and not very accurate for 3D, but never mind.

Pretty happy with it, might continue over the weekend with the missing bits, maybe a texture. Depends how fast it goes.

Did a quick paintover of it too. I should do the hair way more chunky than that though. Also proper art for the character is here if you're interested. Coffee

Thanks! Worked on it for pretty much the whole of today. Gonna call it done before it takes up the entire weekend.

Never tried modo's rendering before, it's pretty awesome and easy to use. Apart from one niggle where the skin material wouldn't allow a texture to be blended over the top, I barely had to look anything up. I love being able to turn on global illumination with a single click.

Funny ! Do you emit particles on every vertex ?

No, I actually coxelize the mesh and emit particle on every voxel element, heh

oh ok, that's why the density is so even !
isn't this heavy computing process ? or is this done on GPU ?

It's done on the GPU but it's very greedy even for the GPU.
The biggest issuse seems to be tons of fill rate, especially when looking up close. Although I didn't test it properly.

Texture lower then 512x512 tend to look better unfiltered, it also keeps the frame rate higher in game not having AA.
