Curious what feed back you are looking for?
So far a bit of it that the game looks good but its very very small window that pops up, I am getting up there in age and had to squint.
Some pluses:
Hacking feels pretty solid and satisfying, more theatrics are good here.
The graphics if larger would be good so far I feel for the main character.
I like the movement and how the wave comes
Some things to think about:
Increase the window size, it looks like some pixel art and it may get pixelated which to me is fine in this day in age especially if you can work in the rest of the art to fit this style.
The shooting seems weak and pointless, it is hard to line up a shot and when you do it doesnt do much the waves also come in such away it makes it very hard to use so why use it over the slashing?
There is somepickup I think I get but again theatrics would help here and good feed back visually or mechanically as to why I care about these feed backs.
Looks like you were inspired by the vlambeer game nuclear throne as you said, somewhere he has a good write up on making good action games here it is:
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/207954/Vlambeer_cofounder_shares_advice_on_building_better_action_games.phpThank for the feedback!! The feedback I'm looking or is just any general comments, what makes the game fun to play, what about the game you may dislike, things like that.
Question: when you refer to shooting are you refering to Ketsu's secondary? (The bow and arrow) if so, yeah, that needs some balancing. But have you used any other character yet? I keep intending on uploading unlock requirements but keep forgetting...
As for the small window, I actually made typo that made the height 100 pixels shorter that it should. That gets fixed within the next update. I will also look into bigger windows scaling options. I'm trying to avoid manual rescaling because i've always found it more trouble than its worth.
And yes, I'm a fan of vlambeer's, Nuclear Throne in particular. I saw JW's talk on "The art of screen shake" and simultaneously inspired me and made me realize I have more. I guess. "Complex" methods in comparison. (Maybe he simplified things for the talk, I really dont know...) But i'll definately look into the link.
Thanks again for the feedback!!!
