I would say "Race To The Galaxy" and "Revolver" are my favourite, but there are so many board games I`ve never played...

race for the galaxy

Ouch. Always messing up the name.

And I haven`t even played all its extensions, got only the first two.
One thing I don`t like about the game is the lack of interactions between the players.

Oh man, Fiasco is a must-play. I played one game where I was a super popular womanizing asshole college student who fought other students with a litter spike attached to a pole for money. I forget what my character's name was, but I had a partner in crime named Jules the Shank. I was the brains, he was the brawn. We were hired by the university as debt collectors or something? If people couldn't pay - there was the litter spike attached to the pole.

It was dope.

Race for the galaxy is pretty wicked I've heard. I've only played Roll For The Galaxy and its pretty great.

We've been playing Dungeons & Dragons: The Legend of Drizzt Board Game a bunch at work and it's really fun. I've been meaning to get the latest game in the series.

Tobago is also really fun and taxing on your brain sometimes.

Tornado Rex is the most hardcore

Snakes and Ladders. Specifically the 1960s UK edition that illustrates the snakes punishing children for their transgressions, like when the girl puts makeup on and the snake drags her in front of her peers to be humiliated

Pokemon Master Trainer? That game is great. Though I recommend removing the Trade cards for your own sanity Grin

Splendor is also good. However, I've found that new players tend to think there's like, no strategy, and attribute a loss to random chance, which is a bit unfortunate. I'll admit that there is a bit of stepping on toes going on that turns it into a game of politics.

Another fave: Star Wars Epic Duels. I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars but I can still appreciate how well the characters match their decks thematically. I recommend playing with the online community's rule changes (mainly you can place your units on any of your spawn points and your minors don't die when your majors do). The online community also has many more decks out there, which we used to great effect. They seem to be surprisingly well-balanced save a few.

If you mean Master Trainer, then that is mine as well, I used to play that for hours. Also King of Tokyo.

In Belgium I picked up some cool Blake and Mortimer themed board game that is in French (and I barely read French). I am excited to try that as soon as I can get a group together for it.

Yeah I think that's the one. Guys it was a lot of fun, but be warned: every time we played we would wind up fighting over something. Wink Same with FFCC, but that's a console game. Good times

edit:

Also, Monopoly. That's probably my favorite board game of all time. The downside--the game would typically go on for days.

I actually played Master Trainer just a few months ago after uncovering it from decades-old stuff. It left me wishing there was a more elaborate pokemon tabletop experience to succeed it. I momentarily dug up a fanmade sequel to it somewhere online with expanded rules but I lost track of it. I should try to dig it up again.

Hey guys! Just wait for our board game to be finished! We`ve made only the first prototype yet, but it`s already fun to play.
