I have the game, been playing it quite a bit since it came out. it's true that the editor is extremely limited, but at the same time it's mario so the controls feel nice and the popularity means that there are some extremely talented people out there making levels. it also helps that they made the editor really fun to tinker with -- the game even sings out the name of every single item you put down to fit the music, it's a neat touch that I'm surprised doesn't annoy me

I have been amazing level with amazing idea, I don't think it's too limited at all.

It does not have all the option a true mario has, but god damn some people have good idea!

I'll post some of my level IDs on here if anyone wishes to try em out. I plan on making multiple "Saga's" that's themed after an enemy. So far I have 3 levels designed primarily around Goomba's as the main enemies.

I REALLY hope some of my levels get played on a video someday. Be exciting to witness!

Once I picked this game up I just can't put it down. Level design was always one of my weaker areas so hopefully playing this will make it a bit better Smiley

I wanna see some levels with the cloud/bumper blocks only.

I remember some romhacks that had levels like that and the only way to proceed is just jump on the first and just let Mario bump, jump and hop to the finish.

OMG...I spent, like, 2 hours+ on this level just a bit ago. It's called Chongys Castle. I'll get the ID.
I still can't believe I beat it. It was HARD. Literally Kaizo level hard. So many deaths...

Here's the ID:  BC93-0000-0026-A341

Also, here are my levels(Go to my profile to see the rest of them)
ID:  39AF-0000-0035-183B  (Goomba Saga I)

Man, they dropped the ball on not having a 3DS version.  It would be perfect (perhaps with some concessions like no custom sounds for space considerations).

Hi everyone! I'm back! Been busy getting a new Laptop, and of course tinkering with Mario Maker. Really loving The editor, & I came up with a couple dozen stages I really enjoy & I thought I'd share the ID Codes so you can find Them, & Me if you guys wanted.

Molten Caverns - 5AAF-0000-0041-031A
Pop'n Pipe Plateau - 5EF7-0000-0033-3F56
Big Bang Barrage! - 4084-0000-0031-28A4
Hot Under Pressure! - 1E18-0000-0040-7095
Lakitu's Jumping Hillside Jam! - 82BC-0000-003E-5E47
Hot Castle Trapeze! - 4341-0000-0041-5A90
Cold Motion - 0FDC-0000-0044-3E99

Why not take a look, and tell me what you guys think? (Assuming of course that you have the game to do that.)

I've only spent a short time on SMM so far but I'm completely in love with it. I've seen a few level codes pop up here and there but I just thought it would be handy to have somewhere that we could share our levels that's easy to find Smiley

Alright, might as well add what I've made so far:

A ghost house with some tricks:  95FE-0000-0033-26BB
A Bob-omb-themed airship:  CFAE-0000-003E-E9A1
A sort of puzzle-y level using an enemy gimmick:  BDFF-0000-0042-F6EE

You have some pretty nice levels there!  I like the idea of using the doors to properly align the timing of the moving platforms.
I liked the Molten Caverns the best, as it captured a nice feeling of exploration.
I think the Big Bang Barrage was the weakest, simply because of that Lakitu from the beginning.  He was just off-screen for almost the entire level, dropping Bob-ombs on you, so you'd never be able to predict them.  It felt like a really unfair thing to have to deal with the whole time.

It highlights how the "run" button made no sense for the original Super Mario Bros, and is just a confusing concept to novice platformer players.
