Not like they can output HD anyway, at least not the GameCube. PS2 can do 1080i on about 6 titles, though.

Yea thats why I'm getting something cheap, that doesn't do HD, I wanted something that'll be useful for any game I might have planned, wether its on the GCN, PS2, Wii, PS3 or the WiiU. Who care about video quality, when you can attract viewers with high quality crap.

opinion: streaming is a pretty big waste of time and you should focus on game dev instead of recording old games

Can't I do both? For right now though I'm stuck waiting on my next paycheck before I move forward, so it doesn't really matter ether way.

You may not get the perfect gaming computer for a $500 budget but you can still find a good one. Try CybertronPC Borg-Q. Just enough for your budget. It says on http://www.consumertop.com/best-gaming-pc-under-600/ that this computer's performance is great for any game.
